Samsung TV are well known to have video problems. Check all your connections in the back of the TV for instance the HDMI etc. TV T-con board could be defective. The T-con board is a component of the TV that gives you image/video. Your panel could be defective if the T-con board is not defective. Have a certified tech come out and check the TV.

Tv flat screen only half the screen works rest is black

This is casued by the buffer boards on the right or left edge of the plasma tv. You need a direct replacement for the top buffer and then your picture will return!

Anyone know why the Samsung PN50B550 50in Plasma would have a vertical strip about 2 inches long on the far left side that keeps going to static/out of tune. The rest of the picture is fine. I've checked...

I had this issue..Go to Menu and go to the burn in troubleshooting and run the scrolling feature..Scrolls whites and darks..Run for an hour..I had it on both sides..From watching 4 X 3 pic, image retention..Should clean up fine

I have a 550 series plasma Samsung Tv 54''.. I cannot get the picture to pick up for example the football score at the top of the screen, nor the NASCAR readout at the top. I get a piece of it but can't...

The problem may be not in your TV but in your receiver, if you use a cable or satellite receiver. Sometimes those also have similar settings for picture mode - it's rare, but I've seen it.

If not, then it must be tv's zoom mode is just set to something other than "standard".

Turns on But No Picture and No Sound

sounds like it could be a cabling issue, try replacing the cabling (if you have another tv, you can borrow the cabling before purchasing new set of cabling)
