Yes, the Bose Acoustimass 15 Series 3 system does have an internal fuse that can be a potential cause for the lack of power and sound. If the system is not receiving power or showing any LED indicator lights, it's worth checking the fuse as a first step in troubleshooting.
To access the fuse in the Acoustimass module, follow these steps:
Ensure the system is unplugged: Before working on any electrical components, make sure the Acoustimass module is completely disconnected from the power source.
Locate the fuse compartment: The fuse compartment is typically located on the back or bottom of the Acoustimass module. It may be covered by a removable panel or secured with screws.
Open the fuse compartment: Remove the panel or screws to access the fuse compartment. Inside, you should see the fuse holder.
Check the fuse: Inspect the fuse visually to see if it is blown or damaged. If the fuse appears blackened, broken, or melted, it is likely blown and needs to be replaced.
Replace the fuse: If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same type and rating. Ensure you use a fuse with the correct amperage specified by the manufacturer. It's a good practice to keep spare fuses of the appropriate rating on hand for future needs.
Close the fuse compartment: After replacing the fuse, securely close the fuse compartment and ensure it is properly sealed.
Plug in the system: Reconnect the Acoustimass module to the power source and turn it on. Check if the LED indicator lights up and if sound is produced.
There's several things that could be wrong. What I would do would be to try to run it off the battery, and if it works, then there is a problem either with your power cord, the power cord connection, or the power module inside the machine itself. Try completely turning off the system. Unplug it, figure out a way to let the battery be disconnected, turned off, or just simply let it die. Then re-boot the device and see if there's a change in operability. If there is, or isn't, you should consult the owners manual, and see what you can find on the issues your having. If all else fails, have a technician stop by and work on it.
the red light = shutdown led all the green ones indicate the voltage lines that came up there is a diagram inside that shows all the leds plus fuse locations. you need to check the fuses with an ohm meter to figure out which one is blow or which voltage doesn't come up. with that info, i can direct you.
Hello.
If the lid switch is defective, your washer may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.
Just a thought, but check all of the pico fuses for a blown fuse. The pico fuses look like a small yellow resistor. Some Hitachi's are famous for having a blown hi-volt ceramic capacitor and a blown pico fuse.
I think the red led on is a short protect indicator, but I could be mistaken.
Hey jlbrown55 , have you tried resetting the default settings? If not you just have the PS3 in standby (with red light on) and hold power till the systems turns on then 10 sec after and it will beep. Let it go right then and it should reset the defaults in about anouther 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, call Sony. It seems to be a growing problem. Good luck.
