My watch has model number 504-tsk085, labeled Timex 1440 Sports, and Timex provides the incorrect manual for it online. I wrote these instructions after careful experiment:
Upper left button: press to switch to a stopwatch, or...
Press and hold to enter alarm setting mode. Once flashing press again to enter time/date setting mode.
-- you can only do one or the other without exiting the setting
mode (time or alarm set).
- within the setting mode you use the two right side buttons
in obvious ways to set times/dates
Exit setting mode by pressing upper left again
Lower left button: light
Upper right button (when not setting time): reveal date while pressed
Lower right button (when not setting time): reveal alarm time while pressed.
ALSO: WHILE lower right button is pressed you can change alarm
on/off and chime on/off through the four possible settings by
secondarily pressing the upper right button repeatedly.

Setting the Time and Date
To set the time and date on your Aquatech watch, begin by pressing the "Mode" button three times to access the time setting screen. Use the "Lap/Reset" button to set the hour on your watch. Use the "Start/Stop" button to advance the numbers to reach the correct hour. When you've set the hour, use the "Lap/Reset" button to set the minutes, using the "Start/Stop" button to advance to the correct minute. Repeat the procedure to set the seconds, month, date and day of the week on your Aquatech watch.
Setting an Alarm
To set an alarm on your Aquatech watch, begin by pressing the "Mode" button two times to access the alarm setting screen. Use the "Lap/Reset" button to set the hours place, using the "Start/Stop" button to reach the correct hour. Repeat the same procedure to set the minutes for your alarm. When you have finished setting the alarm, activate it by simultaneously holding the "Lap/Reset" and "Start/Stop" buttons until the alarm icon appears. When the alarm sounds, silence it by pressing the "Lap/Reset" button.
Deactivating the Hourly Chime
Many Aquatech watch models feature an automatic hourly chime. This can be inappropriate and inconvenient in many situations. To deactivate the hourly chime on an Aquatech watch, simply press and hold the "Lap/Reset" and "Mode" buttons simultaneously. After you have correctly deactivated the hourly chime, the hourly chime indicator icon will disappear from the watch's main screen.
G-Shock watches feature a digital display that is set using the function buttons on the outside of the watch face. To set the time, press and hold the the upper left button until the seconds unit blinks on the display. Reset the seconds to "00" by pressing the lower right button.
Push the lower left button to switch to the hours unit, which will start blinking. Advance the hour by pressing the lower right button. If you hold down the lower right button, it will advance the hour unit at a higher rate of speed. Once the hour is set, press the lower left button to switch to the minutes unit. As with the hours unit, pressing the lower right button will advance the minutes and holding it down will advance the minutes rapidly.
Once the time is set, press the upper left button to save the setting.
Backlight
The backlight on a G-Shock watch has a manual control and an automatic function that will light the face of the watch whenever the alarm, countdown alarm or hourly alarm ring. To use the manual backlight, press the button on the bottom of timepiece. The light will glow for approximately 2 seconds before going out.
The automatic function is set by pressing and holding the lower right button. When the automatic function is set, an indicator icon will display on the watch face above the seconds unit. You can turn off the automatic backlight function by pressing and holding the lower right button until the icon disappears.
Note that backlight causes a drain on the battery, and overuse of the backlight will greatly reduce battery life.
Setting the Alarm
The G-Shock has an alarm that emits an audible tone for approximately 20 seconds when it turns on. To set the alarm, press the lower left button until "AL" displays in the upper left corner of the timepiece. Press and hold the upper left button until the hours unit starts to blink. Adjust the hour by pressing the lower right button. As when setting the time, you can advance the hour at a higher rate of speed by holding down the lower right button.
Once the hour unit is set, press the lower left button to advance to the minutes. Use the lower right button to set the minutes. Follow these same instructions to set the month and day you want the alarm set.
When the alarm time and date are entered, press the upper left button to save the setting. Push the lower left button three times to return the G-Shock to "Timekeeping" mode.
Armitron All-Sport Watch Instructions

The Armitron All-Sport is a unisex style of watch made by Armitron that features a digital readout and four buttons around the outer dial for adjusting various aspects of the watch. It can set alarms, keeps the time as well as the date, and has a built-in backlight. Accessing and adjusting these various settings is a fairly simple process.
To enter the date and time setting mode, press and hold the "mode" button, located on the top-left of the watch. Continue holding this button until the display begins to flash. This first display is the alarm setting, should you choose to set an alarm to go off. If you'd like to set the alarm, use the "alarm" button on the bottom-right of the watch to advance the hours to the desired one. Then press the mode button again; this will cycle through the minutes and seconds of the alarm to allow you to set those as well. Once you have set the alarm, you can press the "date" button at the top-right of the watch to proceed to the regular time setting. These numbers, which will now be flashing, also are adjusted by pressing the alarm button to change them. Pressing the date button again will now cycle through the hours, minutes, seconds and the date. As you continue to press the date button, the All-Sport will continuously cycle through these options; don't worry if you forget to set one, you can simply press the date button a few times until you get back to the setting you need to change. Once the alarm, time and date have all been set, you can press the mode button one more time to exit to the normal watch mode that will display the date and time.
Using Chime and Alarm
The Armitron All-Sport features both an alarm and an hourly chime. The alarm function will cause the watch to continuously beep at the selected time until you turn it off by pressing a button. The chime will cause the watch to beep once every hour. You can turn both these features on and off by pressing and holding the alarm button and while holding it pressing the date button. The first time you do this, the chime will turn on and a small house symbol will be displayed on the watch face. Performing this button-pressing sequence again will turn on the alarm, which in turn displays a small clock icon on the watch face. Each successive pressing of this button sequence will alternate between the chime and the alarm, turning them either on or off.
Backlight
The All-Sport also features a built-in backlight to help you view the watch in dark conditions. This light can be activated by pressing the "light" button on the bottom-left of the watch. Pressing this button is the only way to activate the light, and doing so will only cause the watch to illuminate for a few seconds at a time.
Hey, I had the same problem with my Coleman watch. It would alarm at midnight. I used the mode feature like the poster before me said. When I got to the alarm "screen" I used the button that backlights the watch's screen. The light came on and the alarm feature was removed. I hope this helps.
