On my Iphone I can turn it on but it wont allow me to unlock it

Try Holding Home And Lock At The Same Time Untill The Apple Logo Appears.
If No Work, Try Restoring It .

Check the 2 pins connected on the home button if touch the interface of the board,might not hitting that is why the slide unlock not working.

Allow the iPods battery to completely die and then fully recharge it. If it wont unlock then your displays touch sensitivity is not working and you may need to replace the display or it may be cheaper just to replace the iPod Touch. Or try resetting it or powering it off and it should work. To power off just hold down the button on the top for a few seconds and a slider will appear at the top to turn it off. If it wont let you slide that one either, hold the top button and the home button down together until you see an apple appear.
Let your phone boot back up and should be just fine.

Unlock the screen.
Press the button on the top of the phone and hold it down.
In approximately 5 seconds a "slide to power off" message should appear.
Slide the slider and power off the phone.

If this does not work take it to an Apple or AT&T store.

Ok. What let you slide content and do so many things through touching the screen of your phone is the "capacitive touch screen" embeded on the phone itself has shorted out when it felt in the water (bear in mind that it functions through electricity that continously runs through it. You should contact somebod who knows how to replace it. Good luck

Try holding the top power button until unit turns off. Then Hold power button until apple logo appears. It should reboot.

Try rebooting the phone completely. Hold down the Home & Power buttons for 5 seconds until the phone goes off completely. Then try turning it back on.

hold down power and the button on the bottom till it shuts down, then turn it back on, that fixes mine. I hope this helps you!

There is a program called Slide to Unlock you can install. It gives you the iPhone like slide action to unlock your phone. It also allows you to set your buttons to no action without first sliding. After installing it, go to the settings and be sure that 'Slide to Answer' is ON, and 'S2A Answer Key' and 'S2A End Key' are both turned OFF.
