I have a brother hl-5240 printer and I am trying to print label where do I put the label? the printer paper red light comes whe I put the label sheet in the regular paper tray. I cannot find another place to put the label sheet. Help

straight paper path. take out tray and toner.. pop down back the paper will be in one of the places.. check for nicks or damage to leading edge of the paper. If its labels get back to us.

Ether the paper sensing lever is broken or there is dust accumulation or paper fragments inside the optical sensor.

You probably printed a document that was forced to the manual feed. Place some paper there and it should print. Go to your printer preferences and set the default tray to tray1 instead of Auto.

It probably wants you to insert label sheet thru the envelope slot in the front, using the cassette peels the labels off of the sheet. If there is nothing in the front slot when you select labels it will show an error.

You will need to use the manual feed slot which is above the paper tray.

The manual feed is meant for labels and envelopes

It may some paper jam inside your printer . open the front cover pull out the cartridge and look any jammed paper is there or not. if not the the problem may came from your toner drum.

Hello sir; when you put the new toner in did you remove the seal tape ?

When you print labels or envelopes you need to select the correct tray from the print menu. (File print or ctrl P) or the printer will think the normal paper tray is being used.

You can force the printer to change the tray after the print has been sent by pressing the continue button on the printer, just make sure that the normal tray has no paper in it.
