Your problem may be as simple as a loose walking belt. It could also be that the belt guides on the underside of the deck is too wide. Ir could also be that your rear roller collapsed (there should be noise in this case) or your rear roller screw is broken or not holding tension for some reason. Try adjusting the belt again. Consider that the belt will move to the side of least resistance so if you tighten the left side the belt will move right and vise versa. Good luck. From the look of it you're looking at a minimum of $750 to have a motor retrofitted for it. The company stated they no longer sell replacement parts for models that age. I would say considering the age and expense involved you would be better off comparison shopping and getting a newer model with an extended warranty. See: http://www.treadmilldoctor.com/Products-Services2/Cybex-Treadmill-Motors?sort1desc=F&sort1=Item_ONLINECUSTOMERPRICE Also, take into consideration the cost of installation/repair you'd have to pay to whomever replaced the part(s) assuming you needed to hire a professional. (In which case they would want to order the part and then there would be their mark up and the cost just climbs...) For over $700 You can get one heck of an awesome treadmill... all the bells and whistles come with a couple hundred more than that. If cost is an issue check out the Craig's List and such. There are always a LOT of nice newer models for sale with huge discounts. I have to say, treadmills are the most popular impulse buy, they're bought with good intentions but most wind up as giant clothes hangers or paperweights haha!
I would consider the age it may start nickel and dime you to death on the other hand if you can get a year or two out it for minimal cost it might be worth it!
go to iconfitness.com go to customer service then replacement parts then make your decision
This usually caused by a slipping drive motor belt. remove the hood cover, one screw in rear and 2 on the bottom. There will be an adjustable bracket on the drive motor. Good luck, Tim
I ordered a key from the treadmill doctor site. It cost me 9.99 free shipping. I ordered the 1" Safety key for Proform & Weslo Treadmills 119038. It was a little thick so I sanded the rails on the bottom with a soft Kiss lady's nail sander. I only left a small smidgen of the rails on the key. Now it works just fine. The clothing clip is not as nice as the orginal, but is sufficient.
Hi Pstefanski..Afraid there is no easy fix to this problem..I had the same also..I called Sears and for the cost of replacing the keyboard, it would be cheaper to buy a new treadmill..keyboard was close to $300 ..depend how old it is to tellu the truth..AL
