Brand new rowenta professional won't heat

I just bought a brand new Rowenta Professional - Titan Plus from a fabric store that was going out of business. Bought it 6 mo ago (can't find the receipt). I have one of these irons already and LOVE it. Just took this out of the box and plugged it in - it won't heat. The light turns red, but no heat. I tried all heat settings and nothing. I'm sad my super deal might turn into a dud!

I have a DZ-1700 that will not heat. I cannot figure out how to disassemble the iron to check the connections. Any help would be appreciated.

My professional Rowenta is just over one year old and has stopped heating. I paid $100 for an iron that lasted one year!

I have the same problem, iron sporatically shuts off and sometime it takes a while to get it to turn on. The solution is open it, how do you do that. We took off the 2 skrews but it won't come apart. Also it says fix the terimnal to the cord. How do you do that. Thank you.

Hi,
The mostly problem in that case is the internal terminal from cord to iron is loose ,open it and fix the the terminal cord to iron,or go to the nearest shop to repair that.

Thanks & good day,

What kind of water should be used in a Rowenta Titan Plus

It is always recommended to use distilled water for steam iron in general.
Second best is clean rain water.
For an expensive iron, I would not use Tap water as it has too many residue/mineral that will eventually cause brown/dark stains spots to be ejected from the steam iron pores!
You can buy 'bulk' distilled water for ironing from most supermarket and departmental stores. You can also use pure distilled water for car battery topping but auto shop tend to charge a premium for it!
Hope the information is helpful!

Must hold cord just so or iron will not heat up. Rowenta Professioal DM890, 1 year old.

There should be contact information with the instruction booklet so you can contact Rowenta for repairs.

Sticky surface

Make a paste of baking powder and water. Rub onto soleplate with a soft cloth. This will work, but not as well as cleaner.

You can find Rowenta kits or other brands of cleaner in the laundry or small appliance departments of stores that sell this type of product as well as fabric stores.
