Fridge freezer i have a zanussi electrolux fridge freezer the freezer works perfect but the fridge wont it makes all the right noises but still wont stay cold its a fairly new appliance

Fully defrost it 48 hrs with the doors open and that can often cure it.

Note the 48 hours tulula says, the unit will have probably frozen up inside (you cant see it), and without removing covers, it will take this long to fully defrost, remember fridges are designed to insulate, so give it a chance!

no, its probably weak capacitors which provide power to switch the relay. Take the control board out and ask a friendly TV repair tech to change the capacitors

Yes, I think you have a problem that can be fixed easily by a repair technician. The sound as you described it could have come from the air circulation fan in the freezer compartment striking ice. As the ice builds up it could have stopped the fan from rotating and air flow to the refrigerator compartment.

What you may be noticing is the system going through a defrost cycle. Check the time of the day that you notice this event. If it happens at the same times it could be a normal situation if at all other times normal temperatures are being maintained. A popping sound can be caused by thermal expansion during the defrost.

Hi - we had this problem, and it was in fact where some blood from a defrosting pice of meat drained into the compressor condensation tank and began to decay!

I agree the smell is terrible, so a good clean up is needed but this solves the problem immediately!

Cannot reverse door on Electrolux fridge freezer
Basically they needed to supply an additional door mount for the left hand side of the door as well as the right hand side. Problem now sorted. Poor instructions in the manual didn't help here!
