You must have the RSS (radio service software) software and the correct cable. There is no resetting without these.

This is a business band 2 way radio and you would have to connect it to the programming software and read it or use a frquency counter

Motorola GM338 with an error code, that isn't enough info to even start to solve it.

The more info you give us, the sooner we will try to resolve your issue, what are you doing to make the error code show up.

Do you know if the radio is programmed with frequencies, do you have the user manuals?????, and the more info you give the easier it is for us to find the remedy.

GENERAL SPECIFICATION Low Band (GM338 only) = 29.7-36MHz / 36-42MHz / 42-50MHz

UHF
403-470MHz
450-527MHz (1-25W)
450-520MHz (25-40W)

VHF
136-174MHz

So if you do 160-500 it will not generates the LOW BAND capacity because the Channel Spacing = 12.5/20/30kHz 12.5/20/25 kHz.

i have a similar set and i get abot 20 maybe on good days 22 miles hope that helps
