If the ECM got wet it's going to be fried. The ECM is located by the passenger side footwell. How far up is the water? I would make an insurance claim and have that car totaled. You'll always have electrical gremlins with it.

2003 kia floods..no start hot

How do you know it floods? Fuel injected vehicles should not over fuel the engine unless an injector/fuel pressure regulator is leaking internally or the computer commands a high injector pulse rate based on sensor information. Does it have spark and fuel pressure when the no start condition presents itself?

2000 corolla flooded and wont start

how high was the flooding, does the car crank, lights come on, are all fuses ok? did any blow? have you changed the air filter?

if it cranks try using WD40 or a water dispersant equivelent on your leads and distributer inside and outside the cap. then take to every electrical connection you can with it. if still no start you will need to start dis assembling the interior to see if water got to the computer.

I drive a honda accord v6 1999 model and recently it got flooded. my mechanic says the brain box is damaged and needs replacement as the vehicle can't move properly. should i take him for his word and...

If the car was recently flooded, there really isn't a whole lot of things that woudl cause it to stop moving. I would say to accept what your mechanic says and go ahead and change the computer.

Computer box problem . The car was submerged in flood, so does the computer box. One Resistor R15 was damaged. Computer box is labeled as 37820-P1E-900 on the first line. Second line is 395-352210...

I would replace the computer box- these can be very pricy! In fact I would recomend replacing the car, you will have nothing but trouble from now on. When a vehicle is submerged, water goes into all kinds of places, and really messes up the whole electrical system. The wires will start to corode from the inside out. The reason for this, is the fact that the insulation on the wire is much like a straw with wire in it. Once the wires get wet in a situation like this, they get wet on the inside also, holding that water, and eating the wire. Every flood car that I have seen, will die a slow and painfull (wallet)death.
