A feather pillow busted during the cycle - What do I need to do to prevent damage?

  • Anonymous Jan 14, 2010

Yes, I won't do it again ! However, more important what do I do now. The drum is full of feathers. Obviously clean it out as good as I can but what about filters or other possibly stopped up areas? Should I call service to have the inside (not the drum) cleaned?

Either you have overloaded the machine or else your spin speed was set on high, lower it down and it should not happen next time.Make sure there is nothing broken inside the tumble or the spinning area...

You don't need a repairman as he would do the same as I would tell you.Just clean the filter and give it a quick wash program on an empty basis...After the wash remove the filter and clean the final bits...This should solve your problem.

I washed a feather pillow and it busted, now it wont pump water out.

There is a filter down in the bottom front of the washer (below the drum) that is probably clogged with feathers. It is a pain to get to, but once you get it cleaned out, the washer should spin and drain without problems.
