Same problem. Loud banging during spin cycle. I thought this had a Quiet Pak II? I've leveled the machine, and secured the front feet (the back feet are free floating?) The machine moves all over the place during cycles and I am constantly having to re-position it back in place. Please help!Same problem. Loud banging during spin cycle. I noticed a burning smell and have since not used the machine. When I looked at the front of the metal drum, where it meets the flexible rubber cover just inside the door, it looks like it has been burnt or scraped.I noticed a burning smell and have since not used the machine. If you balanced the machine, the only other problem could be the load itself. Either the load is too great or if washing a single item its falling to one side, tilting the drum and when spinning it will thump. Try even lodes.
Most noises from a washing machine occur during the rinse or spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. This will solve your problem.
If you spin the drum by hand, does it make any kind of thumping or banging noise? If it does, then you probally have a broken spider arm(s). This is very expensive to repair, unless you are handy, it may not be worth fixing. The link below shows the problem and how it can be fixed. http://www.jimwilliamson.net/misc/2006-08-28-front-load-washer/index.html
this sounds like this could be the bearings,to check for this, open door and with yourhand lift the inner chrome drum and let it fall then lift again and if you feel a knocking sound and a lot of play in it then its the bearings,i know there should be movement in the drum but this will feel more of a knocking.
Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that... 1. They are there and mount is solid. 2. If they are broken in 1/2. 3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken. 4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.
Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.
Replace/repair as necessary.

hi may i suggest you remove the top cover of machine and check the drum mountings(rubber) and the spring/s that are connected to the bracket on drum have not broken /come off just one other thing ? when machine was installed was the bracket under the top cover removed b4 connecting and using machine ? this bracket is for security/stability of drum whilst being transported see instruction book ? it is not the first time iv'e encountered this bracket not being removed by customer diy installation worth checking? best wishes
This sounds like the brakes have gotten some residue on them and are grabbing way too hard. The banging is the tub stopping too fast and the torque from this makes the tub bang into the cabinet. Just one bang at the end of a spin. Is this correct???
