I suspect the ADC in the fresh food section part number 61005988. Easy to change and the other two are the defrost heater and defrost thermostat. BRB, Sea Breeze
If the freezer is cold and the refrigerator is warm, the unit is probably not going into defrost. Remove the back inside of the freezer and see if all frosted up. If so thaw with a hair dryer and replace the adaptive defrost assembly located inside the back of the refrigerator section. Up on the ceiling of the ref where you adjust the temp. remove thc cover by putting your fingers in the back holes and pull forward. Make sure the ref is unplugged. Remove two 1/4" head screws in the front and two phillip head screws by the lights. One 1/4" head screw straight in the back. The defrost timer is located in the far right corner. A small board 2 to 3" square. It will unplug and is probably screwed in.
Sounds like the defrost timer or something in the defrost circuit.
Sears has a complete model number system that is confusing I know. Sears made it that way. Not sure why but look around the cold food door while open and look near bottom on the frame just above the kick plate. The number looks like this, (model No. 253.64802400 for example) Find that number and we can go from there, Thanks, Sea Breeze
I had similar problem in that the fan in the freezer that blows freezing air into freezer and over to fridge was not working. Fridge was running warm (over 40 deg and freezer up near 20) Service call around $160 with new fan.
Diagnostic mode will say what any electronic issues are. Check to see if there is, if any, frost build up on the rear panel or ports. If the unit had made any noise in the refrigerator. This unit may have a switching valve for the twin cool, so it could be an issue there.
