You have a ice fan motor problem. This fan motor is what feeds cold air to the icemaker. Try unplugging the refrigerator for a few minutes to reset the computer. Plug it back in and see if the error code stays off. If it returns, you will need to remove the ice fan motor from the freezer and see if ice has built up and blocked the air flow. The ice fan motor is located behind the back wall inside the freezer. You will have to remove the drawers and slide supports to remove the back wall. There are 2 fans behind the wall. The one on the left is the ice fan motor. Good luck.
It sounds like the condenser coils , the coils by the compressor , need cleaned badly . This (and the compressor cooling fan) , can cause the compressor to cut off on overload (due to the heat) , thereby not circulation refrigerant thru out the freezer coils .
The water line goes from inside the freezer door ( cold ) , under the refrig ( warm ) , then to the inside refrig water reservoir ( cold ) . After that , you should get cold water , until the reservoir is drained of cold water .
You may not have filled the water reservoir when you hooked up the fridge. Run about 2 gallons of water through the dispenser. Then wait about 12 hours before you draw more water. This way the dispenser will fill and have time to cool down. It should stay cold after this.
okay, most likely, your problem is your fan motor, its making your evaporator becoming a block of ice freezing your water lines but its not circulating the cold air through your refrigerator. remove the panel from inside the freezer and see if it has become a big white block of ice and the fan motor is turning. some fan motors will not work with the door open so you must manually press the light switch and see if the fan is blowing air. if fan blades are not turning, replace the fan motor. but if it is blowing air and there's a big block of ice, unplug your fridge and let it thaw out. if after melting your fridge is running again, there's something wrong with your defrost system. that means check and replace your defrost heating element, defrost thermostat and or defrost timer. i hope that helps with your problem. good luck!
Water frozen in the freezer supply line - you need to thaw out the freezer. About six hours, door open, turn freezer OFF. You'll need a cooler with dry ice for your frozen food. 99% certain it'll work after that.
i have had this unit for 2 years and the first thing that will go out is the cooling fans, they either stop altogether or start making a loud noise. i suggest to anyone else who has this to go to a computer store and buy 2 quality 90mm fans, they will screw and connect right into the unit. mine initally died about 4 months into use and after replacing them with good fans i never had a problem with it. mine however is a dust magnet and if i dont remove the fans and clean off the heatsinks about every 3 months, the water wont get very cold. mine now is starting to leak water, a big loss since we use this thing all the time.
The fabric softener dispenser is notorious for clogging. Liquid fabric softener is essentially a liquid form of wax. After a period of time it begins to gunk up the inside of the fabric softener dispenser. If you remove the dispenser drawer and look into the cavity, there should be a series of holes in the upper part of the compartment where water sprays into all the dispenser trays. These holes get gunked up and clogged and water will not dispense properly. As a result, the washer goes through a complete cycle, but the dispenser stays full. If this is the case, you can take some cotton swabs and/or toothpicks and clean these holes real good. It may be a bit meticulous, but it should take care of the problem. Post back and let me know if this helps.
