F2 E1 is an error code that says the membrane (touch pad assembly) is not connecting to the ERC(Electronic Range Control). Call the warrantee company and give them the model number and serial number of your range and ask them if it still has a parts warrantee on the electronics. If it does, they will have to send their technician out to replace the part or parts and charge you for the labor. Your model may have the membrane and Erc all in one part, so an easy diagnosis, if it is seperate you need to make sure the membrane ribbon connector is plugged tightly into the Erc, plug your range back in, press cancel, and then retest. If it still fails then replace the membrane, test and if it fails again, replace the Erc. Before you tear into this make sure you unplug the unit for 30 minutes, plug it back in and test. Sometimes this will reset the Erc and solve your problem. If it doesn't the make sure you unplug the range before doing any repair work. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

I think, that the temperature sensor it's defective, try replacing it, it's the cheappest way to solve the problem, if this does not work then, you will be spending more money on the timer electronic control.

Kitchenaid superba f2e1. I have no idea what happened. I was cooking and then this code came up nothing works now. any suggestions?

Hi

F2-E1 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Err F2E1 stuck/shorted key

The control panel is either faulty and needs to be replaced. One can be purchased at repairclinic website or partselect.

Or you can dismantle it, and clean everything with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab

Display showing F2E1

HI. This code will appear if the key pad becomes unstable. This may be a loose cable, or faulty control board. Use the procedure to isolate the issue.

1. Check The keypad connector, which will be located on the backside of the control board, for a firm connection. Pull off the connector, and re-attach. If the code comes back, after the re-attaching method, move on to the next step.

2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models may incorporate the keypad and control board as one unit. In this case, replace the control board (also referred to as the ERC or clock).
