Question about Bosch Logixx WFT 2806 Front Load Washer/Dryer
During the wash cycle a f18 error code flashes. the cycle does not finish and the drum is fill of soapy water.
Open the small flap at the front bottom right of the machine. DONT unscrew the circular white knob yet!!! Use the small black hose to drain the machine into a tray, by removing the small cap on the end of the hose. You will have to use a tray, rather than a bowl because the hose is only short, and keep emptying the tray.(put a washing up bowl next to the machine, so you don't have to carry the tray.) If water does not come out of the hose, then gently unblock it with a piece of wire or fine knitting needle. When water finally stops coming out of the hose, it is time to gently unscrew the white knob anti-clockwise, and pull it forwards. Now you can clear the debris out of the pump rotor, which is behind the white knob. Check with your finger that it can rotate freely, then replace the white knob firmly. Make sure the small cap is replaced on the end of the hose, clip it back into place and put back the cover panel. If this doesn't work then there is a blockage deeper in the machine, and dismantling will be required. Good Luck!!

Guess what! I fixed my washer with the instructions above. Thanks. Love the internet!
I have this error on the display too. If I turn the knob on the rigt (the grey one) for 15' left, I can't pull it out. What am I missing here? Usually it went smoothly.
If I rotate the grey knob for 15' left (can't go left more than that), I can't pull it out. Is is stuck? How can I pull it out?
Here is a photo :)
worked for me :):) thanks
great instructions....u need to pull hard on the white knob to remove it..mine was screwed in just like lid of jam jar...so keep turning anti clockwise till it is open..i needed a pliars to pull it out so i could see the motor behind it and i found 2 nails, a toothpick and a blob of fluff :):)

Very good instruction, but in my case it didn't help. I removed the white knob and there was no debris to clear. Instead in the channel/pipe (a bit in to the left) from where the water comes down to the pump rotor there is a coin. I can reach it with my fingers but I am unable to pull it out. I have tried with different tools without any success. The question I have: Is it possible to remove the low part of the front panel in order to access this channel/pipe where the coin is? There is a screw to the right of white knob. When I remove this screw the right part of the panel is lose but the left part is stuck and I can't find any more things to unscrew.
Once your taken the screw out slide the whole bitten panel to the right..it hooks into the unit on the left..give it a general tap to the right and it should come off..
In our model (in Greece) the panel does not slide, it pops out pulling it forward. We had a lot of junk (pieces of small garments, coins, etc stuck in the flexible pipe *before* the pump.

This can also mean that the waste is blocked as i found out today. There was a twist in the waste pipe stopping the water leaving the machine so don't forget to check this also.

F18 is a drainage fault.
The appliance has a set time to drain if it doesn't drain within that time F18 appears in display

F18 error?
First do what is suggested above.
Switch machine to off.
Then switch to drain. 1 min later it should finish.
Remove the white cover bottom right.
Drain excess water into low oven dish by pulling the plug from the little black hose.
Then using long pliers twist the blue\white circular anti clockwise. It is likely to be very stiff so be gentle or you'll crack the plastic. Clean this out. You'll find something in there. Check the little impeller at the back can turn.
Run a short cycle.
If you get another F18 error it's likely that you need to pull the machine out from the wall. Check the drainage hose where it connects to the outlet pipe. If it's full of fluff (and it stinks!) you've found the problem.
Clean it thoroughly. And the outlet pipe if you can.
Run a cycle and the problem should be gone.

F18 problem that was intermittent and went on for days - resolved at no cost!
Bosch washing machine WAQ283S1GB
F18 would not pump out.
Tried everything suggested.
Drained machine, checked for foreign objects. Removed pipe that went to the drain - looked OK.
Put strong drain-cleaner down drain to make sure that was OK.
Pump was turning sometimes and other times F18!!
Most annoying.
Watched youtube videos about the problem.
Pulled machine out and got ready to remove the pump.
New pump would cost £77.
Call out from Bosch £100.
Machine is less than 4 years old.
I had to remove the end connector on the drain pipe, to get it free and the machine could be pulled out and dismantled.
Success!
When I checked the pipe before it looked OK.
But as I removed the connector it looked blocked!
Wet cardboard!!!
Most importantly a large button (off the duvet cover?) was lurking just next to the end of the drain pipe.
I think the button was twisting intermittently and acting like a 'valve' to stop the flow.
All stuff removed, I ran the machine on rinse and spin into buckets and a few more bits came out.
Everything is back together now.
Machine working fine.
No cost.
Where did the cardboard come from I have no idea. We always check pockets etc before a wash.
Excellent 30 mins work

Drain error. Check Pump and filter

Error F18 means problem with the drain pump
F18 is a pump timeout error - if you cannot hear the drain pump trying to empty the water when you select a drain or spin cycle, then the pump is the problem.

Looks like the pump just needs cleaning out (service flap on front). I have not tried this yet. Ours has the same error. I got this info from someone else, but it's worth a try. Gonna do ours when i get home.

The F11 error occurs when the central control and motor control don't talk to each other.
If one of the controls was actually bad then I'd expect to see the error code every cycle. If it does, start by checking all the wiring connections from the panel to the CCU. Post back your results.

I hadthe same fault code
I had to open up the small cover on the front of the machine.
Then drain the water in the washer using the drain pipe.
I then opened the filter cover and found 46p in change in it!
Also a piece of plastic.
After removing these item the washer is now working perfectly
Neff error code f18
thanks chrismoyler - worked a treat!
