GE refridge icemaker won't make ice. Does icemaker call for water from water valve on back of refridge. Trying to make sure of the problem so I don't waste money on wrong thing.
The ice maker unit give the command to the water valve to relese water for a short time.
you cna check with volt meter on the water volve that got the pip go to
the ice maker unit if it getting 120V for short time when the fingers
of the ice maker making full round.
if you get 120v the problem is the valve (the ice maker and the water
have difrent water path so its difrent valve used) if you dont get 120v
or the fingers of the ice maker not turning then its your ice maker
unit need to be replace.
I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
