I HAVE WINDOW XP AND I NOW HAVE NO SOUND AT ALL. I HAVE TRIED EVERY DOWNLOAD THAT HP OFFERS ONLINE AND NOTHING IS WORKING! HELP! IF BELIEVE I UPGATED TO WINDOWS XP FROM VISTA AND NOW HAVE NO SOUND.
Yes you can u *******
Sorry to inform you but you cant downgrade from vista to xp on this model I have found most systems that are designed to run vista lose several drivers when downgraded to xp.
the only solution that will restore drivers would be to reload vista by purchasing an upgrade version of vista (this allows an upgrade from xp to vista and will restore drivers only catch is your xp operating system must be xp home with sp2(service pack 2).
When you removed vista from your machine you actually downgraded by replacing the vista operating system with XP.
You can download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB
support/download page. Make sure you select your model computer and the XP or
Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on
this link to download the drivers: -
