two possible causes. 1- make sure the valve body is installed with with shower mark on the valve body facing up. 2 - if you used pex pipe and fittings to stub out for the tub spout this will restrict the flow sending water to the shower, '' change out pex pipe and replace with copper or galvanized pipe
Hello. It sounds like your plumbing was installed wrong, with the hot and the cold supply lines reversed. If that is the case, those supply lines will have to be replumbed to make your faucet work properly. Often, if those lines are accessable, it is only a 20 minute job. Joe
check the tub faucet the pull lever maybe slightly faulty causing back pressure in line and pushing water up to shower head --u may have debris in tub line causing partial blockage -or u have alot of water pressure coming in and it is to much for the lines to handle and it is pushing up to shower head
