My brother in law has a 95 Chevy Silverado Z71 with the 350 V-8 engine and throttle body fuel injection.
In the mornings on cold start, the truck won't idle and wants to die if you don't stay in the truck to pump the gas.
After running the engine up to full temp the truck runs fine, but then after a warm shut down, the truck loads up with gas and smells of very rich tailpipe emissions. Again the truck wants to die and you need to open the throttle up all the way to clear it out before it will stay running.
He's tried new fuel injectors, new fuel pressure regulator and a new air/idle control valve. Nothing has fixed his problem. Do you have any ideas?
SOURCE: gas not spraying at throttle body
replace the injector - before you do that test voltage going to the injector- is should pulse on and off to open and close it
SOURCE: 83 chevy truck starts then dies off. wont stay running
when it shuts off is it a warm engine condition going into closed loop , no check engine light ?

relace the throtle air idle valve. The temp switch will allso cause this problem.

To my knowlege the only things he's tried so far are the new parts mentioned in the original post. I found suggestions for similar sounding problems with a google search and forwarded the suggestions to him to check for a vacuum leak, MAP sensor [is this the same thing you are referring to??] and the throttle position sensor. I've also recently had it suggested to check the temperature sensor as I guess that helps control the choke/enrichening circuit.
checked the mass airflow sensor?
