I've been struggling trying to keep our 2 goldens dog hair from the coils of our 8 year old Kenmore side by side with "W" compressor coils, but like everyone else was unable to clean past the first set of coils.

I came up with this solution that worked to get much of the big stuff, hair and bunnies, off of the further back coils. Not perfect but much better than nothing.

Removing the back lower panel I was able to snake a crevice attachment from our vacuum down the right side of the coils (left side looking from back)

From the front of the fridge, on the left side of the coils, I snaked the compressed air nozzle towards the back and started directing the air streamOur fridge temp. will not drop below 43 degrees. - ec2499ae-b621-4a34-ab2b-d02c092099ab.jpg at the opposite side of the coils.

The compressed air dislodged the hair/dust enough that the vacuum was able to **** it away. Again, not perfectly but certainly much better than I was able to clean the coils in the past.

I suppose you could use a can of compressed air and add some sort of deflector if you don't have a compressor.

I then got to thinking how to prevent the dust from accumulating on the coils, I'm going to try an air conditionerOur fridge temp. will not drop below 43 degrees. - 7a2fbc41-ef6b-4a4c-8961-a892df9da8ab.jpgfit the front opening then split it in hOur fridge temp. will not drop below 43 degrees. - 938facae-8d39-4f2b-b07c-82f5e4219751.jpg.

For years I had my calendar remind me monthly to vacuum the coils but now hopefully I'll be able to simply change the air filter.

One easy thing to check is for obstruction to condenser coils below the machine. Clean the kickplate and get the dust off those coils to provide optimum flow of air over coils.

I have a kitchen aid KSC24C8EYY the problem is that the refrigerator does not cool stay cool below 40 degrees, Holding 43-45 range. The freezer maintains freezing but not to the 2 degree setting.

well, how full is your fridge. if your fridge is blocking any of the return air vents, thats usually where the problem lies with side by sides. you need good air flow in these models for proper temps in the fresh food compartment

I have low suction pressureat 43 normal head pressure at 260 only a 2 degree temp drop what could be my problem thanks

drier restriction or orfice restriction. i guess your talking about r-22. 260 psig is ok a little high but the 43 should be 68 to 75 psig. see if you are getting a temperture drop across drier.

I have a Kitchenaid S x S KSCS25INSS00 refrig/freezer. We lost power for 30 hours, it worked fine before the outage, now it won't cool the fridge below 48 degrees, or the freezer below 43 degrees. ...

Try replacing the circulating fan first. If it's not turning, it's more than likely bad. However, the fan might not be your only problem. The problem may lie with the icemaker. The icemaker is essentially the brain of the unit. It tells when to cool, when to defrost and when to maintain temp. Your icemaker may be stuck in defrost mode.

You have either a sealed system problem or a control board problem. It's difficult to know which is which. You will need a qualified technician to determine what the problem is.

Freezer works great, but fridg. will not get below 50

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.

Bottom freezer temperature rises as high as 35 degrees and drops only to a low of 15 degrees continually. ongoing for a month now. french doors fridge now has temp. fluxes within this past week. temp. goes...

check the defrost thermostat , and any temp sensor that can determine the freezer temperature.
If this fridge temperature is electronically controlled, the freezer control board must also be tested.

Fridgadaire beverage center too warm

It should get cooler than that at least down to 33-34 degrees. Be sure you have air flow behind the unit, not pushed against wall. Feel for cold air coming from freezer to lower part just behind light bulb. If it is not turning off and defrosting they will do this as ice builds up and results in no air movement. you may want to remove the cover in the back of freezer and see if it is froze up. Or just turn it off and defrost and start back over the next day. The defroster timer may also be bad and it is under cover beside the light bulb.

Whirlpool Beverage Center (WBC127BLS) - Won't cool enough

If you're handy with a soldering iron, it's possible to 'trick' the fridge into cooling down a few more degrees.

Long version:
If you open the door to the fridge, on the right wall near the bottom is a small plastic grate. You should be able to pull this straight out from the side wall. There is a temperature sensor attached to the back of the grate. Unplug the sensor. (The fridge will then give you a very annoying error beep and display "EE" on the readout. Pushing the °F-°C button stopped the beeping.) This sensor will change resistance with temperature. (The lower the temperature, the higher the resistance) I was reading a resistance of about 3700 ohms at 43°F and 2460 ohms at 68°F. Throw in a rough assumption that the response is linear and it works out to almost 50ohms/degree. In order to 'trick' the fridge into cooling down more, you need to drop the resistance. I was aiming for about 6 degrees cooler. Assuming the resistance response was linear, 6 degrees cooler would give me about 4000 ohms from the sensor. By jumpering a 50000 ohm resistor (yes, 50K ohm) in parallel with the sensor, I should get about 6 degrees cooler. I did the soldering, plugged the sensor back in, and ended up about 8 degrees cooler. Two days so far, everything appears good and the beer is cold.

Short version:
Put a 50K ohm resistor in parallel with the temperature sensor behind the grate on the inside right hand wall.

The temperature read out will be inaccurate forever after though. But then, I just want cold beer, my wife wants cold water, and the kids want to play with the cool blue light. I don't care what the number on the readout is.
