There is a process to make an all reset. After the reset try again. The user user manual can be downloaded from Timex. Make very sure the watch is absolutely flat and far from metal objects. Even being near most furniture can effect the reading because they can have metal springs. Many homes have a lot of metal in their construction. It's best to calibrate the compass out doors away from power wires or cars or anything metal. On the street you can have metal under the pavement.
If this does not work call Timex. There have been instances where the compass module or sensor had to be changed. I have the same watch. It's a very good one.
Hello i Managed to find a PDF Manual for your Timex T3B881. To view you must have Adobe reader installed this can be downloaded from here. The Manual can be downloaded from here.
compass calibration starts on page 8 and compass operation starts on page 12
go to timex website ask for instructions these can be tricky without..you can also order them through any jewelers or watch repairers...i had one for sale with instructions and its still tricky to set ..
For Temperature calibration: 1. Pull the crown to most extended position (2 notches) 2. Temp hand moves to a default position 3. Move hand in + or - direction by pressing temp or tide buttons (above and below crown button) 4. When done, push crown to 0 position (I used melting ice water to calibrate and fix to 0 deg C)
For Tide calibration: 1. Pull crown to middle position (1 notch) 2. Move hand in + or - direction by pressing temp or tide buttons (above and below crown button) 3. When done, push crown to 0 position
