Whether this is a TOP LOADER, or a FRONT LOADER, the drain pump is located directly below the wash tub in the front of the washer. Accessing either one takes, different procedures, however.

To access the pump on a TOP LOADER, you must remove the exterior washer casing. Follow the steps provided in this link:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3631789-washer_case_removal_whirlpool_top

If this is a FRONT LOADER, you must remove the lower toe panel directly below the door. Follow the steps provided in this link:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574350-replacing_the_drain_pump_in_a_front_load

The Kenmore Oasis is a different configuration from the two I've mentioned. There are two pumps on the Oasis. One is a drain pump, while the other is a recirc pump. Both are accessible by removing the rear panel of the washer.

If you require further assistance, please post back with a complete model number so I can determine how your washer is configured. I hope you find this information helpful.

Kenmore elite model #796.2900 where is the filter by pump located

This Sears top load washer, manufactured by Frigidaire, does not have a filter like some machines. This is quite normal on many machines. Model 79629002000 KENMORE ELITE WASHING MACHINE Parts

I have a kenmore washer and pump needs to be replaced. How much does the pump cost model #22442100

I have tried to locate your washing machine model on several web sites, but I can't find it. Are you sure you typed it correctly? You typed a different model number than you indicated in your category. From what I have seen, pumps usually cost somewhere in the $40 - $50 range.

Malfunction code tE

TE error code stands for thermistor error. You have to remove the front panel and ohm out the heating element. If you have continuity most likely it will be fine. There is a thermistor located next to the heating element that will probably need to be replaced. LG's are the only machine besides GE ref's that I have ever seen thermistors go bad on. There is probably an ohm reading you should get through the thermistor but unless you have an analog meter or a fluke most standard digitals wont read into mega-ohms. Removing the front panel is model specific. But i can tell you the spring around the front boot (drum gasket) needs to be removed and there will be some hidden screws at the bottom by the pump where the access panel is located.

Hope this helps _MJ_

My kenmore series 80 washing machine won't drain water. We have checked the hose and that is clear, what should we check next?

Check the following.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

Pump filter on kenmore 45986

The filter screen is located in the front just above the drawer. Pull out the drawer and look under the front edge of the machine you will see 3 small screws. removing these will allow you to remove the lower front cover and access the filter.
