My washing machine is leaving small bits of black

My GE profile (fuzzy) washing machine of 8 years is leaving small bits of black residue on the clothes after every wash. These pieces of residue stick onto the clothes and I have to scratch them off and then leaves a mark on the clothing. i clean the filters before every wash so its not coming from there. What is it and how can it be fixed.

SOURCE: Brand new GE Profile leaves clothes soaking wet

It is under warrenty call the store where you bought it and have them look at it. If you mess with it it will void your warrenty, belt may not be working or transmisson may not be shifting. The house call will be at no charge.

Testimonial: "thankyou for the help, I thought I had just made a bad buy. They sent someone out right away and it turns out this particular machine had a bad part."

My LG fuzzy logic 8018tp leaves a black flaky residue after use. How can I fix this

Sounds like you needs to give it a good clean through. Try a number of boil washes with no clothes and either white vinegar or brands of descaler. That should do it.

The problem is most likely that there is still water residue at the bottom of your machine. If the machine is not fully drained it picks up some of the residue and sprays that onto the dishes during the final rinse, leaving an unhealthy and unsightly film on everything.
Remove the bottom strainers and make sure that there is nothing obstructing the outlet pipe and the pump. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine again before using it again.

It's just a build up of residue. To clean out your drum, run a hot cycle (obviously with no clothes in the machine) with half a cup of vinegar then when the cycle is finished, wipe out all the residue, and trust me there will be alot. I do this every 3 months to give the drum a good clean out.

Wet clothes

Hi,
Draining problem is very common in Bosch washers. However, it is very easy to fix.

1) Remove the white circular plate, located on the bottom left. Push a small screwdriver or needle through it and simultaneously rotate the plate clockwise.
2) Open the drain valve. Rotate the circular black handle counterclockwise. Beware of residual water.
3) Clean it. Re-assemble in reverse order.
