When i turn on oven, all it does is beep and display the F9 code
There should be some number after the F 9 Error code. And, it would look like this F9-1 Latch lock upper F9-2 Latch unlock upper F9-3 Latch lock lower F9-5 Latch unlock lower F9-6 Latch both lower This is just to give you an idea. But one thing you can try is UNPLUG THE UNIT AND LEAVE IT LIKE THAT FOR AN HOUR OR TWO, AND THEN PLUG IT BACK ON.
Prior to doing that check behind the range or under the top for a quick disconnect. They are prone to loose connections. The clock puts out approximately 5-7 VAC (could be DC, I'm getting old) on the common wire to the door switch. The clock is looking for a signal back on one of the other wires, either NC or NO (normally open and normally closed, will show as Bake and Clean on schematic) to signal a circuit. If it does not see it, you get the F9. I find more loose connections then bad ERC's.

Here's what F9 code means:
1. Door lock safety circuit on ERC sensed Replace the door latch assembly
2. Door Lock Warning Check door lock circuit or Replace Clock
Try pressing and holding the door latch to unlock position and then press cancel for a few seconds. The latch should return to its original position.
We had a f9 error after a power outage. We removed the back panel and discovered a wired had come apart. We just re connected the wire and the stove worked as goo as new. Give it a try before you call the repair man.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. F9 error in your oven/range indicates an issue with the door locks assembly and/or the door latch. To start with check the door lock circuit, you can also try to jump start it to see if it's working. If it's not working then the Electronic Range control has gone bad and should be replaced, if it is working then the door lock circuit should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

Frigidair ,Mod # FGFB55ASA .... Closed door for cleaning , door locked , never started cycle , just blanked out & started flashing "F9", even unpluged it over night , for same results ??? Any luck out there ????

I've tried unplugging it and I've tried the clear button it only displays f9 and beeps every couple of minutes will I have to get a repair person out or is there another way to fix this? My range is a glass top and I beleive I will be unable to get the top off without the door open.
We have the slide in Gas Range Advanced Cooking system. The power went out today. This evening we were baking and the oven starting making noise, then the F9 showed up and the oven locked. There is no number after the F9. Eventually, it stopped and unlocked. I reset the clock. Later, I went back into the kitchen and the F9 was on the display again. It doesn't seem like it would be a bad ERC, just showing up after the power went out -
Tried to set oven to self clean, door would not latch. I kept trying and finally the F9 code came up and now will not cook or clean.
