My Samsung SCX-4521 boots up and always flashes this message. I've checked the paper exit area and can't see any thing that is jammed. I've looked both in the front and the back. Could it be that a senser is malfunctioning? Any advice is appreciated.
thanks!
I had this problem too. For me the answer turned out to be the paper sensor in the back part of the machine, behind the little back door just under the top part of the machine. This sensor hangs down from a thin rod that runs across the width of the machine, and is held in place by a small spring that encircles the same rod that supports the finger. The finger had apparently gotten moved so the spring was dislodged from its proper place. I was able to rotate it around the rod with my finger & get the spring moved back to where it should be. This seems to have cleared the problem--I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
thank you. it worked
hi sir my priter model is scx-4521f i refilled the toner but it indicates no cartridge what is problem?????
1. Press MENU # 1 9 3 4 in sequence rapidly. The LCD panel should now display TECH. 2. Press MENU, and then press ENTER. The LCD panel will display Tech Mode. 3. Press the left arrow (<) button once. The operator panel will display NEW CARTRIDGE. 4. Press ENTER. The operator panel will display [YES]. 5. Press ENTER. The toner warning message should be gone. 6. To exit TECH MODE, press MENU # 1 9 3 4 in rapid succession, as if you were dialing a phone number. The operator panel should no longer display TECH.

I had Paper Jam 2 Check Inside and I fixed it like this:
ATTENTION!:This brought me to Jam 1 or Insert Toner problem!!!
1.Unplug all cables (USB and power)
2.Turn around the printer
3.In the back there should be a small door that on my printer (SCX-4300) flips upside.
4.Look for any jammed paper.
5.Pull out the jammed paper.
Now I don't know how to fix Jam 1 but i'll try.

My printer is a Samsung SCX-4300,but the following method worked for me and might HELP YOU!
ONE MAJOR THING YOU CAN DO TO AVOID JAMS IS TO NOT HAVE HUGE QUEUES! (Wait some time after you printed a number of pages!)
You have to unscrew the back panel and look inside.between and in the back of the two wheel bars (plastic bars with small wheels) there should be something that looks like a lever that in the bottom part has a black plastic "flag" in the sensor (the rectangle with a space in which the flag slides). If it's out of place push it back, without forcing anything. If it's broken, take the whole thing out and use superglue to glue your lever's broken pieces. If it just fell out, take it and push it back there, again without forcing something.
I have a Samsung SCX-4300.In a long print queue it stopped and said "Paper Jam 2".I fliped the back door and removed all the "accordeon jamming" paper. Then I turned it back on and it said Jam 1 or Install Toner.I unscrewed the whole back panel and checked inside,as I earlier told you,but everything was in place, except the lever was a little woggly (not fixed tightly).I tried tu push it back but it was still woggly.I then put the panel back on.I turned it on again and it said the same thing (Jam 1 or Insert Paper). Then I checked the toner to see if it was inserted correctly.I pushed it not too hard and it slid in a little bit more.It looked as if the toner was the problem (it wasn't inserted correctly).I turned the printer back on and now it works perfectly!
WARNING: The back part of the machine may be very hot.Do not handle it immediately after it stopped printing.Allow it to cool some hours.
WARNING:When you will unscrew and remove the black panel,a part of it might stick to the on/off button.Push the button in the opposite direction and see if you can remove the panel.DO NOT FORCE ANYTHING!You might also have to do the same thing when you put it back on.
WARNING:When you remove the back panel,PULL SLOWLY!The ventilator is located on the panel and it has some wires connected to it from the printer.WATCH OUT! If you pull too hard, you might tear the cables!

I just fixed my sensor at the back. Thanks for the tips!
Unplug everything from the back and then remove the four screws from the back panel. Pull the panel out but watch that the on/off switch doesn't hang the cover up.
Once off, I removed the screw from the mount holding the right end of the sensor stick while holding the mount in place with my finger.
When the screw is out, lift the mount up and carefully slide it off of the stick. Carefully rotate the spring, topside away until the left side of the spring catches the sensor piece. Now rotate the other end of the spring once more around the stick and while holding it at the top of the stick (12 o'clock) slide the mount back on. With the mount in place, release the spring and it will come to rest on the mount.
Refasten the mount and check for light tension on the sensor. If it pushes forward when you release it, you're good to go. Refasten the back panel, attach all wires and enjoy.
(I still struggle with the paper feed from Solution #5.)
Cheers
Please check the delivery sensor it is displace or broken lever
Check fuser sensor flag may it broken.
I was getting a paper jam 1 error with no paper jam, but just a 1/4 paper feed. The spring was is place. What seemed to fix it was taking the paper out and cleaning, that area, even though it was very clean looking. Maybe I also moved something. (Of course take the cartridge out)
Mine was doing the same thing. there is a black rubber drum about the size of a film canister in the center, mine was worn out. I removed it and turned the rubber so that a new part would contact the paper when it fed it in. Works fine now
How do you get to that paper sensor / spring thing? Do you have to take the back cover off?
Factory reset it
