I would think you would need to presoak the tar stained clothes in a bucket of hot & Stong detergent water. If you use that stong a detergent in the washer you run the risk of damaging the seals. Either do that or use someone elses washer and drier. Then Run like He..!

How can I remove tar from inside a washing machine's drum

Use mayonnaise, a sponge or a rag and some elbow grease.... My husband is a roofer and we always end up with some tar in the washer and dryer. So I just scrub it out with mayo. And do a soapy rinse afterwards in the washer, and if its in the dryer I throw a wet rag on a quick cycle to make sure there in no lingering mayo in the drum.

Grey spots on our white clothes after wash

do you use affresh to clean your front loader? deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. try this porduct out it works great on all front loaders use hot water with the affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle this also helps with any stagnant water smells also have you cleaned out your pump lately. * note remeber to put the pellet on the inside of the machine not in the soap dispenser

Clothes smell bad in my GE front loader.  It's one of the first models they came out with - about 3 years old.  Thanks.

Run the unit through a cycle with HOT water and a small box of baking soda plus detergent--no clothes. There are a number of cleaning products on the market that do the same thing (but more expensive). Redo this whenever you notice the smell returning.

LG washing machine has AWFUL mildew smell

Causes of grease, slime and black mould inside washing machine Your problem has nothing to do with the washing machine, any washing machine - even the best can be affected. I suspect your problem is mostly related to using liquid detergents that contain no bleaching agents

Clothes are not clean How can I take washer aprt to clean soap dispenser???

Make sure you are washing at the correct temp, and that you have the correct prog selected for what you are washing. and that you have suficient powder and or detergent in. Check to see if the water is getting hot, because if it is not , then the heater may not be working, and then your clothes will not be clean.
Hope this helps with your prob.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Black, tar-like spots on some clothes after wash

Hi
Its probably coming from the outer drum of your machine. That's what holds the water. Your inner drum, what you see, is full of holes and allows the water to pass through in the drum and wash the clothes. that outer drum gets crud in it which then passes through the holes onto your clothes. the easiest way to get rid of it is to get a product called "affresh" from W mart or the big Hardware chains and follow the directions. Good Luck

TROMM ultra capacity washer water levels

these machines are mean on water and you can open the door after wash starts
use good quality soap powder that suits front loaders and always wash at 40 deg or above
the black stuff is body fat that is still in machine called scud to me
also if you use conditioner in rinse cycle stop using that
it can cause same problem
