52"rca hdtv lights blink will not turn on

you need to replace the FLYBACK # 270125 and CP150. You can get the parts which have detailed step by step instructions at the following link

Check 3 capacitors on Power supply/deflection board cp150 2200uf 16v if it is bad replace 2 other caps in same circuit cp111 cp114 220uf 35v

Ck capacitor cp150 2200uf 16v. there is 2 other caps also if this one is bad,(2) 220uf 35v.(3) caps all together.

when it shuts down and you try to turn it on again does the led blink/ If so how many times does it blink? let me know and I will try to help you out with the problem. Also let me know does the picture do anything abnormal just before it shuts down?

INtermitant problems as the are called usally mean bad solder connections...the joints between electronic components. this set when it has a problem shuts down. This is safty cuircits. It could be a connector. when the set shuts down. it locks out for a period of time.. DO you have to uplug it to reset it? IS there any sounds. Without know more i would guess its high voltage.

i believe the problem is the flyback transformer. try cleaning by using a small aerosal can. this will either correct the problem or you might have to replace it.

flyback transformer stores energy so i would suggest hiring a professional technician.

mine does the same thing obviously it is a high voltage problem with the power supply or flyback transformer,we have power outages all the time more thank likely it was the colprate good luck ,my suggestion do what im doing throw it in the trash and buy a new one ,it will cost more to repair we live in a throw away society they dont make anything worth the crap any more ,tvs used to last 25 years now if your lucky 5.
