Can you unscrew or detach the front lens? You should be able to do this.

Get some eyeglass Zeiss cleaning tissues from Wal Mart, and clean it, very gently. Brush it off first with a clean camel hair brush.

If it is fogged BETWEEN the lens then it must go back to Tasco.

This is a VERY small diameter telescope. The same size as a pair of 10x50mm binoculars. You would have a better view of the sky with the binoculars.

I have Tasco 4x16x40 scope. The crosshairs will not adjust or hold. What can I do to get this fixed.

It is impossible to see and movement as the crosshairs move such a tiny amount. Half a millimetre in the sight is 10 feet at the target. The only way to zero in sights is on a fixed bench rest at the range.

If you really think they are faulty, return them to the maker for repair. Tasco do have a Warranty and Repair Service.

Tasco exp when you adjust the power up and down the crosshairs turn to does this scope have a lifetime warranty, where do u send it to get it replaced.

If you have a Tasco product that requires service or repair,

  1. First determine if your product was manufactured before or after 9/1/02. Tasco products manufactured before this date did not have a code for the year of manufacture. Tasco products manufactured after 9/1/02 will have this code (See Diagram 1 for help with determining this).

The Tasco brand was purchased by the current owners in August of 2002. Only product manufactured after this date is entitled to complete warranty coverage.
  2. Call our Customer Service at 1-800-423-3537

If your product was manufactured after 9/1/02 be prepared to give the Customer Service Representative the code number found on the product and you will be given instructions on sending your product in for repair.

If your product was manufactured before 9/1/02 the Customer Service Representative will provide more information on the repair/replacement options available to you.

Identifying new Tasco product

Old Tasco products did not have a code for the year of the manufacture but new product does. Check to see if there is an alpha code of the year the product was produced.

Cant determine if my tasco 6x24x42 scope was made before 9/02. rifle was dropped and can not get it sighted in. is there a fee to get it repaired!! I some other name brand riflescopes have lifetime...

not with a "tasco" there a bit of a cheepy scope, if it was a good make then it would be worth the cost of the repair, put it this way,,,the scope you fit to your rifle should cost 3 times more that the rifle did! a tasco scope on e-bay costs what? £150.00p to be honest theres a big "0" missing from that price?

Scope fogged up on the inside and i cant see out of it. while hunting in the winter the scope fogged up. now that it is getting warm out it cleared up.

The gas inside the scope has leaked out. Moisture condenses in the cold weather and fogs up your optics when this happens. Send the scope to the manufacturer and they will warranty it. All scope manufacturers have real good competitive warranties. TP
