Turn the computer off.
Remove the battery.
Unplug the AC adapter.
Turn the computer bottom-up.
Look for a few screws that secure a small panel.
Unscrew those screws, and remove the panel.
If you've selected the right panel, you should see your current RAM.
On the LEFT and RIGHT edges, there are small "fingers" that are holding the RAM.
Gently pull those fingers away from the RAM, and it should pop-up slightly, and you should be able to remove the RAM.
Notice that the "notch" in the middle of the RAM is slightly off-centre.
Insert the new RAM into the socket, and gently press down, until those two fingers "click" to grab the new RAM.

Depending on your "old" RAM, you may have:
* one "occupied" RAM slot (1GB), and one "empty" RAM slot;
* two "occupied" RAM slots (512MB/stick).

So, you may have to remove one RAM stick, to expose an "empty" RAM-slot "hidden" under the RAM.
Or, the "empty" RAM-slot may be visible without removing the RAM.

Or, you may have to remove one of the 512MB RAM-sticks, in order to free-up a slot for the "new" RAM.

Replace the cover-panel, and screw it in.
Reconnect the battery.
Reconnect the power-supply.

Start the computer.
Click Start
Point at My Computer
Right-mouse click on My Computer
Choose Properties
It should display your CPU-speed and the "new" amount of installed RAM.

I have Acer laptop Aspire 5570z module Zr1 with memory 1GB I want to increase memory 2GB or 3GB Is it possible or not What will be the expenditure?

Your laptop's RAM is upgradeable to up to 4 GB using two DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM modules.

So your upgrade options here are:
1. Buy a 1 GB DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM module & install it to get a total RAM of 2 GB (Price around US$ 25).
2. Buy a 2 GB DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM module & install it to get a total RAM of 3 GB (Price around US$ 45).

I have a PNY optima sd 2gb memory card and it tells me on my samsung camera card error. What does this mean?

My Sanyo camera says my sd card it full when it absolutely is not. Ive even tried uploading pictures to my computer and it tells me there is an issue. It just suddenly did this one day and I think I've lost about 150 photos from Easter and other things that I can't get back and worse I can't take any pictures with my camera now.

Want to know how to upgrade my lap top memory thank you

To upgrade you will need a SoDimm 2gb DDR II SDRAM, 667 MHz module, on the bottom of the notebook you will need to remove the panel usually secured by 4 screws to gain access to the memory slots, you probably have a 1 and 2 gb modules already so it'll mean removing the 1gb chip and discarding it as you only have 2 memory slots so you can fit the new 2gb module.

PNY Optima SD HC 8GB isnt working on laptop

Youll have to get updates for your laptop card reader or get a new one which may have to be installed. Another method you may want to try would be to put the card back into the device you used it in and then hook the device up to the computer, most likely through the USB slot....good luck

Your laptop can have up to 1 GB of memory. You should have two slots and you can install 512 MB per slot. Your laptop is using 200 Pin DDR PC2100 266 MHz CL 2.5 SODIMM. You can also install PC3200, but your laptop will clock it down to 266 MHz.
