Beeping noise "ER 2 " appears on LCD and a beeping noisefrom amtrol 41 gallon boilermate,says 120 degrees but feels much hotter than that,when i run the hot water for afew minutes,the beeping noise goes away and LCD screen returns to 120 from ER2

Wires to breaker could be to small or cross wiring. Which color wiring are you using for power?

is it an electric or gas or oil fired. Er3 means it is not getting up to temperature within the required time. Electrical - element bad. for oil or gas, no ignition or fuel supply.

A stuck divert-er valve yes replace head, and know this will not cause leaks leaks,leaks are caused by o seals worn and getting old ..and olives on connections replace the above as needed some times a quick tighten with rench will do it leaks that is

1) Pdf manual on amdrol website show a mixing valve that mixes cold water with the hot water so water temperature going to faucet stays the same:

You set the temperature of the mixing valve.
You can also set up 2 sets of pipes ... one is connected to mixing valve that goes to sinks and tubs. The other pipe bypasses mixing valve sends hotter water to washing machine.

This is a thermistor sensor wire that can be ordered as repair part

There is a device on the boilermate called an aquastat which controls the flow of hot water into it. Replace that and you should be up and running again. Joe.

Er3 means that the water is being heated for more than 1 hour without reaching the set temperature.
Need new aquastat.

I had also this problem before, same with buzzing sounds on my Amtrol Boilermate and all I had to do was to call the local dealer and they have got it fixed.

if water heater is beeping E-2 it means that the water heater has gotten to high above water heater set point. Things to check

- there hot water being feed from boiler still
- is zone valve or pump isolated stopping flow of water to water heater
-check sensor readings
