I keep getting an F1 error code on my top load Whirlpool Cabrio HE washer. I do what the manual says to do which is to hit the Pause/cancel buttom and then start....I continue to get the F1 error code for each load I do. Before I contact someone to come service it (it possibly pay lots of money), does anyone know an easy fix I can do myself?

ATTENTION CONSUMERS!!! Do NOT buy the Cabrio washing machine!!!!!! I've had mine for 4 years, paid a little over $1,000 for it. I'm getting the famous F1 error code that everyone else has gotten and Whirlpool is NOT standing behind their product, they told me all parts and labor will have to be paid by me, not Whirpool. It will cost $400 or more to repair it. For that money I could buy a brand new washer. When sooooo many people's washers are doing the same thing then obviously there's some sort of flaw, they need to recall and do the right thing by their customers. DON'T BUY A WHIRLPOOL, once they get your money, they don't care!!!

There is a recall for the Cabrio F1 error code issue. I had mine fixed for free. They will have to replace the control board. You will need to call 1-800-253-1301 and tell them that your Cabrio washer is having the F1 error code and you read on the internet that Whirlpool has been making repairs. Have your model number, serial number, and purchase date ready for the person on the phone. The guy that repaired mine also replaced the washboard at the bottom for free...just ask the tech about it when he is there.

I posted my question before discovering others had the same problem! It was great to find out that there is a recall and Whirlpool is taking care of it. I did excactly what was needed call 1800-253-1301 and I have a service appointment on 12/10/09. Glad that I don't have to pay a whole lot or have to buy a new washer because of the F1 error...=)

Kenmore Elite top load washer. Not filling with water to the appropriate levels

If your Kenmore Elite top-load washer is not filling with water to the appropriate levels, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the water supply hoses to make sure they are not clogged or kinked.
  2. Check the inlet valve on the back of the washer to make sure it is not clogged or stuck.
  3. Make sure that the water supply to the washer is turned on and that the water pressure is adequate.
  4. Check the washer's control panel for any error codes or messages that may indicate a problem with the water supply.
  5. If the issue persists, you may need to have the washer inspected and repaired by a professional.
I hope this helps! If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask.

Hello, I have an a question, I have a dryer brand Maytag Model MDE25PDAYW1.when I turn it on showsme the error F22. I want to know how to fix that?

Check your owner's manual. The codes and what to do will be listed in the back of the manual in the trouble shooting section. Also Google that code with the model and you may get an answer that way.

I have a 96 grand cherokee.when i come to a stop it stalls and as i hit the gas to resume driving it studders and struggles to pick up speed

Are you check injection system? Some check engine light there; try read fault codes stored on ECU under this procedure...

Without starting the engine, turn the ignition key on, off, on, off, and back to on.

The "CHECK ENGINE" light will flash the first digit, pause and then flash the second digit of any stored error.

Example:one flash and pause and eight flashes = number 18 error code.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

The car cuts in and out when you hit the gas. gas gauge works somtimes. and can use the speedo for a tack

Cycle key, on, off, on, off, on, and leave on (not start) & count "check engine" light flashes. Always a number, a pause, then another number. For example: 2 flashes, pause, then 2 more is code 22. 3 flashes, pause 5 more, is code 35 etc. When you get 5 flashes, pause, then 5 more, that's code 55 which means end of message. Try that and lets see if any codes come up & go from there. Get back to us with what you find.

1995 jeep cherokee

Hi there jaja,

Your Jeep has on board diagnostics that can help locate problems it is having. These diagnostics are normally accessed by a 'Code Reader' that plugs in to a socket normally located under the dash on the left side of the steering column.

You can buy a Code Reader for $60.00 to $100.00 and use it once. OR..(just a suggestion) you can do it manually, which will only cost you about ten minutes of your time. Here's how.

First off, what to expect:
  • The error codes are two digit numbers.
  • They are communicated in the form of a flashing light on your dashboard. It will blink a number of times followed by a short pause, then again followed by a longer pause.
  • The short pause separates the digits.
  • The long pause separates the individual codes
  • For example, Blink-Blink short pause Blink long pause would be a code 21
  • The codes will be displayed from lowest to highest
Are you ready?
  • Get a pen, a pad of paper, your keys and get in the Jeep.
  • Turn the ignition ON (not start)-OFF, ON-OFF, ON within 5 seconds.
  • Just after the last ON, the instrument panel will begin flashing.
  • Write down the flash patterns.
  • If you missed one, keep going. Then repeat the test.
When you finish, get back to me with the codes so I can look them up for you. They should tell us whats going on. Then we can act accordingly.

Remember: Good things come to those who Rate!
