I have a 2003 acura tl type s and i have the radio code but when i put the code in it just says err and i also have the radio serial # but i dont know what to do. Can you please help? Thank you

on the TL - 5 digit code for the radio; 4 for navi; numbers are typically on a sticker on the side of the glovebox (nearest radio) or rear truck arm (great security acura?). Need to unplug the antenna and then put in the code, reconnect the antenna and your back in business. search the net to learn how to access the back of the radio. typically needed after power is lost to the vehicle, new battery installed, etc.

Look for the code on the outer left side of the glove box, top number is the code, the bottom number is the serial. Just saved you some time and money. Now if you could explain how to get the radio to prompt code entry instead of error. Tried removing fuse under the hood and disconnecting the battery terminal to prompt code entry, to no avail.

Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

The above tells you how to retrieve the serial no. from the display of the radio by pushing certain buttons.

Also, some cars have a card with serial no. in the left part of the glove box.

if you have the owners manual that came with the vehicle the code should be in that or on a card that comes with it, if you don't have the four digit code a good auto audio dealer should be able to source the code for you, I'm in the UK and thats how it works here, hope it's the same for you

1. pry off the right-side molding along the center console (the wood/marble grain looking accent molding) and
   
2. up near the RADIO side is a sticker with a serial number on it.

all you have to do is go to dealer with that serial # and they will give you yhe code, bring cars registration and id to prove its your car, i do it alot but over the phone because dealers know me,hope this helps.
