On a Asus M4A78-E motherBoard, where should one connect an internal (front panel) card reader?
You should be looking for a USB header. Usually card readers will have a block thats keyed that you can simply attach one way onto the board.
Look for some pins (9 in total) with USB1 or USB2 written beside it. The block should only go on one way (one of the holes is filled)
If you have a card reader that has the pins separated then you need your motherboards and card readers manual.

Most multi card readers are usb, but not the external kind that fits in the back of the motherboard, the internal kind.
If you look at the edges of the otherboard you will see three small blue connectors. Those are internal USB connectors, it should say next to them. Plug it in the correct way round (it will only go in one way) into any one of the three.
