Well this is difficilt because i cannot see the the written language on the screen.
Do Canadians speak english!
you need to go into MENU settings and this will be done by experimentation but once there you should see two separate dialogue boxes for language the language of the screen and the spoken language for directions just screll through till you see ENGLISH US when you have done that then save or just exit.
I dont have a 255w here to experiment with but it shouldn't be too difficult to wok out
once again.with feeling.....
Turn on your GPS select Tools,then select Settings,then select
Language,click on voice then scroll to the language you prefer,make
sure it has TTS in brackets on the voice you select,those voices tell
you the street names.

I get tools, but no settings or language. First thing that comes up is KABUL. I do not get a choice of English US. It does come up American English, but..... nowhere have I seen TTS and the voice I hear is in a foreign language. This is too hard, I am returning it today. I have never come across anything this difficult to operate. Seems like it likes every language, but English. Thanks and any other suggestions, please post.
