It keeps crashing

Your operating system is in need of repair. Use your recovery disk(s) to perform a repair operation. If that is not available and you cannot get on desktop to perform a system restore, you may just have to reload the drive from scratch.

HOW TO RELOAD WIN 7 64 HP Pavilion dv7-4152si

Make sure you have the restore disks that you created - assuming you made the disks when you got machine. Follow all of the prompts.

Sometimes the OS gets so corrupted that you cannot even reload the software unless you completely erase the hard drive of all traces of prior OS. And before you do that you might want to save some files you previously created so you can use them again in the future after you reinstall the OS.

And there is also the possibility that your hard drive has gone belly up and will not reload. There are diagnostic programs available to check out a hard drive for free.

Error 0x400110020000100A after hard drive replacement

One of your self-created disks may have an error. I recommend that you contact the manufacturer of your computer to obtain system reload/restore disks directly from them. Often, depending on manufacturer, these are free or very low cost, such as cost+shipping ~$15-$25.

510 sony

You are in deep doo doo. Since most ladies are neat, I am sure that your restore disks are in prime condition and replacing them with a new set from Sony will be expensive and not do the trick. Either something is terribly corrupt with the software on the drive or there could possibly be something wrong with the hard drive that prevents it to restore or reload. If you have a spare, known working, hard drive kicking around try using the restore disks with that and see if it works. I caution you that many restore softwares are designed to only work with the original, same size hard drive (that sucks for obvious reasons). If it works you definitely have a HD issue. If it does not, you might still have a hard drive issue because the software was not designed to restore a different hard drive. So then you have to do a diagnostics test on your drive to check it out. If the drive proves to be bogus you can replace it with the exact same model and hope that the software does the trick. If not you will have to do a clean install of the OS and all of your programs.

Computer has become very very slow. Reformated and reloaded operating system took forevery to reload (2 hours). Is this a hard disk problem

It _could_ be a disk-drive problem -- excessive "retry" operations within the disk-drive, while trying to write data to the disk-drive, or while trying to read from the disk-drive.

Search online for "Hitachi Drive Fitness" testing software, and run it.

If the disk-drive is "out-of-warranty", consider replacing it, before it completely "fails".

Ihad a hard drive failure. After having the hard drive replaced my computer was reloaded from my rescue disks, then everything was updated, with Windows XP, SP3, and IE8. Now I get an error on page...

Try with other browser like MOZILA, CHROME..etc..

or else, you can restore your system..
for restore follow the few steps below...

  1. goto start' all programs' accessories' system tools' system restore.
  2. one new window pop up.
    then click next.
  3. select the restore point.(TIPS. select the point date before the day you update your windows)
    click next.
  4. select the drives.(TIPS. drives which contain your software(IE), usually it is in C:)
    click finish.
