    In what device are you using your SDHC card? Are you sure the device supports SDHC media? If not, you will get a generic error explaining that your card is not recognized, and to reformat the card. (Reformatting may not be necessary of course if media is not compatible).

Insert card into card reader. Find which drive letter the card is in. Right click on that drive. You will see an option that says format. A warning will tell you anything on the drive will be errased. Once sure you have the right drive click OK.

Hello...Pal! you have two options to format for micro sd card. One is, you are to open my computer and right click on the sd card drive and choose format option. This will display a window, there is a option of quick format, make a check sign to this and press format button. Second is, go to start menu -> Program Files -> Accessories -> and choose command prompt. when command prompt window opens, type e.g, "format K:" and press enter, if it ask for volume label, type its drive name like Personal (C:), only type the name e.g, Personal, and if it does not ask for volume label, press enter one more time, then this will show a surity message, type Y and press enter, your micro-sd card will be format successfully.

To reset this SD card , enter it into a device connects to your PC with a data cable then in my computer you will find the memory card a must give the right-click properties>>format.

All just try this trick
Connect your phone to PC and try to acces the card on PC. Now format the card but, take the backup of data before formatting the card.

Its most likely your Micro SD card thats faulty. If its a Sandisk of Kingston then theres a 12 Month warranty on them but if its one of those cheap no name ones they are a complete joke and will continue to corrupt everything put on them. Invest in a good brand one.

Try the following: 1. Click Start > type "regedit" and open "Registry Editor". 2. Now follow the below path after opening registry editor :- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/StorageDevicePolicies. 3. Now you will see "Write Protection" option. Double click on that and set the value data to '0'. After setting the value data to '0' again try copying or formatting your sd card. After performing the above step you are still not able to format your sd card then continue to next step. Open Command Prompt and type diskpart and press Enter key. After opening diskpart type "list disk" and again press Enter button. Now type "select disk 1".

You can't. The Z612 uses SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card and is incompatible with SD devices.

For SD cards (2GB and smaller), you'll find the Format operation in the Setup menu. Press the Menu button, then use up/down to select the wrench, then press OK.

Copy your files off the card. Then Format the card and select FAT32 file system. After the format is done try the card again and see if you can copy more files to it.
