Hi, I have bought the Samsung LE40M86BD 40'' LCD TV around 2 years back.Last couple of days when TV is switched on pictre is not getting clearly, all vertical lines, glaring pixels appears all over the LCd panel. This is happening for 2 hours then line are disappearing and coming back again when tv is switched on. Anyone help me on this? How much does it cost to repair the TV? thanks Kris

Kris it sounds like your T-con board could be failing
the t-con board is located in the top middle of the unit
try reseating the cable going to the board if you feel comfortable if not have it done by a tech

Hi I am vortash .. there is a modification kit available for this tv and available from ebay priced about $50 0r £30 depending on your location . It is the start up driver circuit that needs these components on the power supply if you are competant to attempt this .However if not then I suggest that you take it to a local enginner for a free estimate he will at least be able to tell you the fault . regards Vortash
The screen is failing. A conductive strip from a flex connector to the glass panel is losing contact when cold. Any warranty left? extended warranty? Usually not repairable, screen has to be replaced and cost as much as a new set....
