The screen on my 42 inch LG plasma keeps flickering like a strobe light. I have had the cable checked and it isn't that. What is wrong?
I believe that you are experiencing an intermittent problem with what's called your florescent lamp ballast. The best thing is that it can be repaired/fix. There should be a LG repair shop in your area. Cheaper to bring it in than have a service tech come to your residence.
Should be between $200 to $300 for a repair.

DANG PLASMAS, THE BULBS DO NOT LAST VERY LONG. HONESTLY, SELL IT AND TRY TO UPGRADE TO LCD. AT 4 YRS OLDS, IT'S ALREADY HAD ITS GO. LCD WILL LAST ATLEAST 27000 VIEWING HOURS.
PLASMAS ARE YESTERDAY, NOT WORTH THE REPAIR SINCE LCDS AND LEDS WILL SOON EXCEED 1080P RESOLUTION.
