Whirlpool Gold Ultra Care 2 Dryer

Not really sure what to do. No problem at all with the dryer then it just stopped running. Not sure if it's the thermal fuse, belt, or motor.
The light goes on when I open the door, close it, I hit start and nothing...No humming from the motor or anything...

Dryer spins, and the light comes on but will not dry the clothes.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II dryer. The dryer stopped working. It is getting electricity but still won't start. Any idea what the problem could be??

The first thing you need to check is if you actually have 240 Volts going into the dryer. Sometimes one half of the (dual) circuit breaker opens and only sends 120 Volts down the line. If you hear a buzzing sound when you press "start" but nothing happens, it could be a stuck motor. Or the motor could be running but the belt is broke. There are more possible scenarios, but try this first.

Won't agitate nor spin

Sounds like a faulty transmission. Also, make sure this machine is not sitting in a cold environment. If it is...run a blow dryer under it for awhile and try again. But really I think the transmission is gone.

My Whirlpool GOld Ultimate Care II electric dryer is not drying well any longer. It is 5 years old and a load must be run 2-3 times to get it to dry. Please help.

it could be your heating element but if you use dryer sheets take your lint trap out and see how well water will run thru it it may need to be washed in hot soapy water hope this helps

I have a Whirlpool gold Ultimate Care II gas dryer and 2/3 times the ignitor glows and lights the gas, 1/3 times it won't. When the gas does light, it doesn't seem like it's getting hot enough to do...

I would suggest the coils on the gas valve . Also check the vent to make sure good air flow is getting out of the dryer . Try disconnecting the vent hose and drying a load to determine if maybe the vent is the problem .

Whirlpool gold utra care II gas dryer does not dry

That has to be a stopped up vent or a lint filled dryer. You gotta clean out the lint, open the vent.

the heater box fuse has failed, most likely from a clogged vent on the back of dryer or wall, you can remove the large back panel to get to the fuse it is on the top of the heater box on the side,it is a small fuse, you can get one at sears .com click on parts put your model number in(inside dryer door)and get your part, let me know how you do-mike

I have whirlpool gold ultimate care 2 the dryer is heating but not getting real hot

You may be having a venting issue, disconnect the vent from the back of the dryer,if it drys normally then you have a clog in the vent line too the outside, if still takes too long too dry you may have a bad operating thermostat on the blower housing.
