Your PayPal account is known by the email address that you used to "Sign Up" ( register ) for your PayPal account.

When you signed up , you provided (your name & ) your email address and a "PayPal" password. That email address (& password) what you use to log into your PayPal account.

If you can remember (your email address and/or password) and/or have problems logging in to your PayPal account, just click on the " Having Trouble Logging In" link on the Log In page, to get help. It will ask you for 3 possible email addresses that you may have used ... and have you reset your password, etc.

I just did it last night. Attempt to log in with the email you use with papal. Then click on the I forgot password link. It will send you a verification code. cut-n-paste the code into the box on paypal and it will then ask for a new pw twice.

1. Paypal has a very friendly customer service you can contact there.

2. But Paypal has a great system of forget logging in. In case you have lost your password, you need to enter the valid email address and then you password shall be mailed to you.

3. In case you doesn't know which email have you used then you can easily add up to three email addresses that you have thought you had used to set the account and if anyone of them matches then they shall again reset your password.

So there is ample amount of support there. If you feel that this help is not adequate please elaborate a bit more on your problem and i shall be able to exactly answer your as per your problem.

IT appears that Pay Pal cant Help you with a complete solution to ones problem .only problems ,like user and e mail and no security question ,my problem is just that and now I am formerly stuck between two opend accounts and cant log into either and no joy of how to fix this mess

Go to the main Paypal home page.

Click on the PROBLEM WITH LOG IN? link underneath the LOG IN button.

Select I DON'T KNOW MY PASSWORD from the list and enter the characters shown.

Follow the on screen instructions and you should then receive a reset password in your email account that you signed up to Paypal with. Follow the instructions in that email to regain access to your account.

I had similar situation, just get customer support they can find it faster then you.
Also i would start out as a new paypal customer by having them delete that account and just make a new one with in that 24 hrs.. So that you can start out fresh and know that this will be your only account, reason you probably made a account before but don't remember that you did and used a different email address or lost password.
I had to do the same thing because it was conflicting with my bank and for 5 months i was doing what you are now looking because you did not want to contact customer support and then i called fixed with in 2 mins and was easy to fix after.

It sounds like you may have more than one PAYPAL account. You may have opened another PAYPAL account with a different email adderess, or possibly someone else has set up an accoun t with your credit card details. Try logging in to PAYPAL with any other email addresses you have.

I no longer have access to the email address registered to my PayPal account

Even if you no longer have access to the email address, you must still enter this address to log in to your PayPal account as this is how the PayPal system recognises you. After you log in, you can change the email address then use the new one when you next log in to your account.
If you definitely only have one PAYPAL account, I suggest you go the the PAYPAL Help section and report the problem.
