Hotpoint wma76 stops and displays ON

Hi, my hotpoint WMA76 works fine and washes until it drains the water. After it drains the water out it stops the cycle before the spin and the programme lights on the display disappear and it just displays ''ON'' The machine spins fine if a manual spin is selected.

Could be rinse water valve ..Faulty Solonoid coil

Hotpoint WMA76 - been on a normal wash cycle but wont spin to drain water - cycle finished, drum full of water and cant empty. How do we empty it to open machine?

Remove drain outlet hose from point where it discharges into waste pipe, and lay the hose down into a bucket or bowl, this should let the water syphon out, enabling you to open the door.

We have an Ultima WMA76. We can't get the door lock light to go out and stop beeping, even though the door os locked shut. Can anyone help. Decka

Hotpoint ultima wma76 water level switch loaction?

Should be located under the lid near the top edge, round shape with a tube going to the bottom of it and wires in the front. To remove from the frame turn the whole thing 90 degrees as fitted with with rectangular fitting on rear.

Hotpoint ultima wma76 stopped spinning is the motor /brushes in top or bottom of casing had other hotpoints and the brushes seem to go evry 5 yrs or so? are they as easy to change as the older models?

it is as easy as the older modles but the motor is at the bottom and you have to take out the motor to replace the carbon brushes hope this helped.

you may be using too much detergent, or you have a blockage in the outlet.try putting it on to spin to drain out the water, if it does not drain then check the filter or sump hose for a blockage
