My Lexmark Z1420 Is not communicating with the P.C. Have checked everything and it tells me it cannot communicate with printer. The printer works with other P.C.

If its a Windows PC, you need to unplug the printer, Boot the computer in the Safe Mode, and remove the drivers (with the Device Manager). You might find duplicates. Remove them all.
Then reboot and install the drivers again, following the directions on the driver installer. Windows needs these extra steps.

Lexmark Z14200 PRINTER DOESNT WORK WITH WINDOWS 7

Hi, Try to uninstall the printer entirely from your computer using installation disk which you can download from http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=recommendedDownloads&locale=EN&productCode=LEXMARK_Z1420&segment=DOWNLOAD&userlocale=EN_US#1
Once you have uninstalled printer, try to restart printer, disconnect printer from USB port as well. Now try to install from the downloaded driver set for Windows 7.
Cheers!

I can't get my Lexmark X7350 all-in-one printer to work on my windows 7 computer from dell. I get a message telling me to "Enable Bidirectional communication".

Its a driver issue, you need to contact lexmark and ask them if they have a driver that will work with windows 7 (theres alot of issues with scanner and printer drivers with 7) good luck

Lexmark X4550 not printing in Vista can't enable bi-directional

"Bi Directional Printing" is a statement of Parallel Port printing. Are you connected from your PC to the Printer via the parallel port?\

Did you disconnect the USB cable form the PC and then delete the current driver prior to installing the Win 7 driver?

Lexmark 3500-4500, enable bidirection printer

Bi-directional operation is a facility of the BIOS port you might use. it usually refers to a parallel port which can be set in the bios as uni directional or bidirectional so in the bios under PERIPHERAL DEVICES you would set to bi-directional.. so it is not something you can set in the printer settings. when it connects to the port the printer tests to see if it can use bidirectional transfers or not. If it can't it just means its a bit less efficient so will take long to transfer data. A similar error message might be issued for a network/wifi connection if a FIREWALL prevented communications. Or if you had used an OLD driver meant for a different older parallel printer. your printer is too new and should be wifi connected. You may have used a wifi ad-hoc pc-printer direct connection which could be causing the issue. preferred method is always printer-router-pc non ad-hoc using tcp/ip ports. so check your firewall settings http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=content&id=SO3908&locale=en&userlocale=EN_US
