Kodak 5300 all in one printer will not scan. Cannot get on line with 5300 a10 home center program, tells me printer is not connected

1.From your computer, access Device Manager.
For WINDOWS XP OS:
a. Right-click My Computer, then select Properties.
b. Select the Hardware tab, then Device Manager.
For WINDOWS VISTA OS:
a. Click Start -> in the Start Search box.
b. Type Dev (without pressing Enter); wait for a list to appear.
c. Click Device Manager.
d. Select View > Show hidden devices.
e. Select Printers.
f. Select Action > Uninstall.
g. Select Action > Scan for hardware changes.
h. Double-click the KODAK AiO Home Center icon.

If the error message appears again:

Set administrator rights for Home Center Software:

For WINDOWS XP OS:
a. Right-click the KODAK AiO Home Center icon.
b. Click Properties.
c. Click the Compatibility tab.
d. Clear all the check boxes.
e. Click Apply and OK.
For WINDOWS VISTA OS:
a. Right-click the KODAK AiO Home Center Icon.
b. Scroll down and select Properties.
c. Click the Compatibility tab.
d. Select the check box for Run this program as administrator.
e. Click OK.
f. Double-click the KODAK AiO Home Center icon.

If the error message appears again:

Uninstall the Kodak all-in-one printer drivers and home center software:
a. Disconnect the printer from the computer.
b. Open the Control Panel, then select Add / Remove Programs.
c. Select the Kodak all-in-one software.
d. Click Remove.
e. Click Next.
f. Select Remove, and click Next.
g. When the Ready to remove the program window appears, click Next.
h. When the Uninstall Complete window appears, click Continue.
i. Restart your computer.
j. Reinstall the software www.kodak.com/go/downloads

Try to unplug replug the usb cable of the printer.

You may also go to control panel printer and faxes and look for the printer of your 5300 now if you see 2 icons delete them both then exit to printer and faxes. and unplug/replug your USB cable then restart computer.

If this issue not solve try to uninstall the software and download the clearutility kodak.com/go/clear. then after doing this restart computer.

Installation Instructions
  1. Verify that your computer meets the system requirements. note.gif WINDOWS XP Operating System, 64-bit, is not supported.
  2. Disconnect your all-in-one printer from your computer.
  3. Verify that you logged on to the computer using the administrator account.
  4. Close all programs.
  5. Download the software onto your computer.
  6. Double-click the *.exe file, then follow the on-screen instructions.
  7. When the installation is complete, connect your all-in-one printer to your computer.
  8. Select Start > Programs > Kodak > Kodak AiO Home Center.

Printer will not scan

Kindly install the Kodak all in one home center on your computer,connect your computer and printer via usb cable and then try 2 scan. Ur issue will be fully resolved. Click on scan pictures and documents On kodak aio home center and then click on scan now,follow the instructions.

How important is downloading kodak home centre software for the kodak printer to work?

Kodak AiO home center, serve as a driver as well for your printer to print from the computer. It will let you scan, copy or print pictures. AIO home center will let you select the settings you want for your printer

When opening the kodak home center got an error.

it is a scanning error............ scanning usually take 1-2 minutes to scana document. make sure dat u've proper ink in ur cartridges. contact kodak@ 1800 21 6699 for further issues.

I have a kodak esp9 on win xp wireless connection. Constantly get the 1-2010 error code and kodak aio home center will not open and the printer will not connect any solutions?

Hello, My Kodak 5300 acts as if it accepts a scan, it displays "scanning", but scanning never occurs. The copy function works fine.

connect ur computer and printer via usb cablen.scanning requires a place to scan and save the document. open home center on desktop and scan from there. u will be able to scan whatever u want. call kodak@ 1800 421 6699 for further directions.

Kodak Easyshare 5300 printer drivers doesn't have Home Center

Re-download from here:

http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadLookup.jhtml?pq-path=9106&product=EKN033540&operatingSystem=mac_os_x_10_5_x

Make sure you download the "KODAK All-in-One Printer Software (including drivers) for all 5000-Series and ESP-Series Printers" and not the "firmware".

Select to install all drivers (should be the default). Reattach the Kodak.

are getting any error msg like 1-2036 or anyother and are you using Vista or Xp,,,,try using the windows fax and scan settings....let me know and i will try and help you

Aio Home center will not open up to scan.

  1. Is your drivers properly installed?
  2. Use Paint in windows and try to aquire a imige from there,
  3. Else reload your driver
  4. Still not working reload your O/S windows
