I'm getting an F26 code on a Kenmore Elite he5t front load washer

The door switch sensor button may be sticking in the closed (pushed in) position. Try to get it to spring back out. Otherwise the washer computer "thinks" that the door has not been opened for three cycles (F26).

If the door has not been opened for 3 consecutive cycles or the door switch is open while the door is locked for more than 5 seconds.

Possible Causes/Procedure

I called the 1 800 sears number and there was somewhere to solve the problem. F26 code means
there was something obstructing the door latch.

I recommend checking your washer installation for a possible siphoning condition and kinked fill hoses, first, as these are the easiest items to rule out.
