How do I access my Arris TM602G modem. I want to

How do I access my Arris TM602G modem? I want to configure port forwarding. Thanks.

  • Anonymous Mar 10, 2010

Hi! I also have a question about Comcast's Arris TM602G modem! I can't get it to connect to my wireless router and am unable to figure out if the problem is within the modem, the router, or my computer. I am attempting to use the ASUS RT-G32 to connect, and I have an HP Pavilion laptop running Windows Vista. The RT-G32 has a WAN port and 4 LAN ports, but when I hook the modem up to the WAN port, I can connect, but I can't get online! Any help here, please?

    Optional Information:
    Computer OS: Windows Vista
    Browser: IE

    Already Tried:
I tried to hook up the Arris to the WAN port via ethernet cable. Didnt' work. I tried to reconfigure the router, but it didn't work. I tried resetting both the modem and router, but it didn't work. Help!

I have an arris tm602g. What is the IP address to access modem 192.????

Try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.100.1. Make sure that your pc is connected directly to the Arris TM602G modem and not on a router.

Hii how can i find the ssid network? I have an arris model: tm602g/ct..

I am not sure what your problem is. The SSID of a wireless router is what shows up in the available network list. The model you listed is not a wireless router, it is a voice/data modem. You would need to connect a wireless router to the data port of this device to create a wireless network.

Thanks,

Comcast installed Arris TM602G/CT Modem yesterday. Attempted to link modem to MAC AIRPORT wireless router. Have net access with my PC cabled to modem. If I hook the modem to the AIRPORT, the PC indicates...

first its a mac so no wonder its broken second its not your modem it would be your router settings. you may want to restore your device back to its defualts then try again.

I just switched to TimeWarnerCable/Internet. How do I connect two PC's to the Aris TM602G Modem? Then How do I connect my Laptop? Bob

You connect the Aris to a wireless router with say 4 LAN ports.
You connect the PCs with LAN cables to the LAN ports on the wireless router and install a wireless card in the laptop if it does not have one.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

Do I need a router in addition to the Arris tm602g ct provided by Comcast?

Yes, you will need a router the Touchstone® TM602G is only a modem. I recommend a Cisco-Linksys (#1 recommended router brand) like the E1000 Wireless- N Router (Walmart $59.00) with up to 300 Mbps data transfer rates; WPA/WPA2 (personal and enterprise) and SPI firewall protection; four 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports. It will meet all your needs.

I need to find my WEP Key for my Arris TM602G/CT Cable Modem

Try typing 192.168.0.1 in your Internet browser. If you have access to the modem, this will give you your Settings page which you can use to update the password.
If you cannot access that page, press and hold the small reset button on the back of the modem with a small pen or paper clip for 60 seconds. This should return the modem to factory settings, and allow you to reset the password.

I am looking for usb driver for arris rndis modem model number is tm602g

http://www.drivers-fix.net/arris.php. Comcast sometimes has drivers for this device. Use the ethernet connection if you can cause Arris EMTA's usb outputs **** unless your trying to do both which is what I think your doing. If your computer only has a USB connection look for adaptors

Need solution to Networking 2 comps thru an Arris tm602g/ct via a linksys 8 port switch, the seems to be no Usb connection on the modem

You will need to purchase a router my friend. The arris does not have a DHCP server built in and cannot assign IP addresses to the work stations. The only way that could work is if you ISP provided you with a second IP address, which would also be extremely unsafe from a security standpoint. Any wireless router should do the trick.
