Hello,
My dishwasher is not cleaning my dishes throughly. It turns on and runs a complete cycle. However, I noticed when it comes time to drain the water into our sink, only a little bit of water comes out. It does not "gush out" like it used to. I think there is not enough water filling our dishwasher. When I open the dishwasher mid-cycle, there is just a puddle of water on the bottom of the dishwasher.
Help!
Thank you.
My water flow is fine. As soon as i turn it on the water pours out of the bottom.
What do I need to hook up a portable dishwasher to my sink?
How is the water flow at your sink this is a portable right un screw the connector at the sinkand check the screen 2 your fill hose could be kinking up when you pull it out take a light and look down into the washer see if you can see it kinked we will go from there
would you give me the model number off the serial plate should be on the side of the tub when you open the door so i can check the water fill also what do you have the options buttons set to
ok you hav a 1991 frigidare portable washer first look in the bottom when it fills to see if the water comes up to the door. should cover the bottom and and be about 1/4 inch deep next what ever you set the knob too the options must match for proper water fill you should hear it wash kind of strong now its a good ldea to check the spray arm holes for obstrcktions also hot water cleans the hotter the better so before you hook up the washers get your water as hot at the sink as you can stand it or you will fill it with cold water now what i want you to do for me is fill the washer open the door and see if the water is up to the front of the tub if not then pour water in till it is .shut start it then listen how strong the wash is then open the door turn the washer back to start and start it to see how strong the drain is look in the drain hose where it connects to the sink and see if any thing is blocking it let me know what you find
they are great dishwashers but watch for small hard things that get stuck to the bottom of the the dishes like tooth picks olive pits bones etc and don't for get jet dry and to get the water as hot at the sink as you can all those things i told you to do will help to find the problem yourself and you did im so proud and thanks for the rating your great 17

Hi
If you
are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to
check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try
replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check
for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and
the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to
the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.
If it
seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if
dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check
whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after
the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water
temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be
between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps...

seems like the water flow is fine from the sink. There are no kinks or clogs as much as I can see. Water is getting into the dishwasher, but it is not spraying all over the dishes -- the dishes aren't "dripping wet" mid-cycle..... I think there is just about a gallon of water at the bottom of the dishwasher that fills up and drains into the sink...
Happy New Year.
The Model #:587.17245990
Serial #:TH10158144
Settings set to: "Normal Wash" & "Water Heat"
I ran it a few times and changed the setting to "Pots and Pans" to see if it would work differently and it still did not wash the dishes thoroughly.
Also -- our water is very "hard" - we have to change the filter in our shower once every 2-3 months because it gets clogged with sentiment and the water pressure slows down. Do you think this is happening with my dishwasher?
Unfortunately I bought this second hand and it does not have an owner's manual. I have only owned it for less than 1 year and it has been working perfectly the entire time until now.
Thank you for your help.
Thank you so much for your help with our dishwasher. We discovered the problem - a clogged inlet water valve. We are currently replacing it and hoping the dishwasher will run good-as-new.
Happy New Year!
disher washer does not clean dishes acts like not enough water in it too wash dishes. If you put water in it ,it will wash for that cycle then go back to not filling with water, can anyone give me a reason why not filling with water.
no water is running into the dishwasher but no hot water was used only cold could this be the problem?
