With Windows XP it is possible to connect the camera and transfer pictures without using the Kodak drivers as contained in EasyShare software. Windows XP contains built-in drivers (Windows Imaging Acquisition or WIA drivers) that will recognize your digital camera.
It is a good temporary alternative to using EasyShare if there are issues with installing the software, as it will at least enable you to transfer pictures to your computer. You will however lose the ability to upload any files or information to the camera, such as:
-firmware updates
-e-mail address books
-the Camera Favorites album which is a feature of some of our newest cameras
Simply connect your camera and use the Device Manager to configure Windows on how to work with the camera:
-Right-click on My Computer and choose "Manage". Click [Device Manager] in the left pane.
-Click the plus (+) sign in front of "Imaging devices". The camera should be listed below it.
-Right-click on the camera and select "Update Driver".
-If you have installed Windows XP Service Pack 2, you will be prompted, "Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?" Select "No, not this time". Click [Next].
-Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click [Next].
-Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install". Click [Next].
-Select "Digital Still Camera". Click [Next].
-Check that a program selection window appears. Select "Always use this program for this action".
Now your camera should be accessible via My Computer under "Scanners and Cameras".

Can the Kodak easy share DX4330 shoftware be down loaded

Hi Angelo
Try this site for your software -> All Drivers Free No need to install programs or pay
Or the Kodak site shows how to load your photos to your PC without the need for software --> How to transfer pictures from camera to computer without EASYSHARE Software
With any downloads I'd recommend that you first confirm that your anti-virus & anti-malware software is up to date
Trust this helps, regards Alan

All of a sudden my Kodak Easyshare 530 will not transfer pictures to my computer, I have reinstalled software, still does not transfer. Can you help me?

Possible solutions:
Remember you need to turn the camera on when transferring.
Try a different USB outlet
Try a different cable
Try a different computer.
If all fails please contact KODAK in order to arrange a repair or order a new cable. Remember your USB cable is covered under the same warranty as your camera, so remember your serial number when calling:

Downloading photos

If you are using Windows XP unplug your camera from your PC and uninstall the Kodak software. You don't need it to transfer photos to your PC. The next time you connect your camera (turn the camera on) to your computer it should recognize it and you can use Windows built in transfer software. Details are here:http://www.organizepictures.com/2006/11/5-easy-steps-to-transfer-your-pictures-using-windows-xp-photo-wizard

Kodak EasyShare Software/Printer problems

Kodak has been making a lot of changes to that program, due to problems. If you loaded the software that came with the camera, it is very likely out of date. You need to visit the Kodak website and download the latest version of the software.
