Mcculloch M13597 i have a Mcculloch M13597 lawn tractor that wont start nothing happens when i turn the key have changed the battery and still nothing

If you havemade sure the battery and conections are good check for a fuse for the start circut or lights most tractors have a switch under the seat that killsv the engine start circut check thisvand make sure that it is not your problem yuose a volt meterv or test light to check power to all the battery connectios

AS YOU HAVE CHANGED ALL OF THESE COMPONENTS TO NO AVAIL IT HAS TO BE A BREAK IN THE WIREING ITSELF, YOU WILL HAVE TO FOLLOW THE WIREING WITH A MULTI METER TO FIND WHERE THE POWER IS LOST.

Check that the blades are not engaged. If they are not engaged and you still have nothing, check battery cables tight. Then check the starting solinoid.

Could be, but test each item with your tester. Test key switch (12V in and 12 V out when turned to start., operator present switch 12V in 12V out (seat) Clutch switch, etc. till finally you test for 12V on the small terminal on the starter solonoid. Happy testing!

Check your seat, drive safety switches. Can you turn the engine with jumper cables attached to the starter? It won't start, but should turn over, one of your safety switches is not working.

you can try an lightly tap the starter with a hammer to see if it's stuck,....while holding key to start,....this happens on mine sometimes,.....not to much you can do,..kind of poorly built these days,.....good luck, cracklin joe

Jumper across the 2 terminals on the starter solenoid with a pair of needle nose pliers and see if the starter spins. If so then you have a bad solenoid or a safety switch activated or maybe a bad key switch Hope this helps you

Change the solenoid, if you can jump the posts on the solenoid and the engine turns over...the solenoid is bad

Make sure the handle that lowers the blades is pulled right up into the last slot,and it is in neutral.
