Should be two fuel lines coming from fuel tank grommet. One feeds the carb's primer plate and the other returns from the same. Open the fuel tank and observe while pressing the primer. If you see fuel pumped INTO the tank while pushing the primer and pulled FROM the tank when the primer is released, you're OK. If not, the lines are backward. Filtered line is on SUCTION side of primer bulb. Unfiltered line is on PRESSURE side of primer and is simply a return to the tank.
Next, concerning the coil: Air gap should be .010 inch at the magnet. Echo ignition coils are warrantied for life to the original purchaser, so don't tamper too much with it. Check gap and check fire with a spark tester. If no spark with switch in on position, take it to an AUTHORIZED SERVICING dealer, found here.
Hope this helps,

Have you cleaned out the carburator
My $350 Echo PB-500T seized up. I almost cried.
The solution was to drain the fuel tank.
Refill fuel tank with an 2-cycle Oli/gas mixture.
40:1 =3.2 oz to one-gallon gas, do not use Alcohol base gas.
Remove the spark plug.
Pour approximate 1/8 oz 2-cycle Oli into the spark plug hole.
Remove the pull cord assembly (4-bolts)
This reviled the crank shaft-Pull cord bracket
I use a large monkey wrench to turn the shaft (CW) Clock-wise.
Complete approximate 20 revolutions.
Reassemble, but don't install the spark plug yet.
Complete approximate 20 more revolutions
by pulling the pull cord.
Use q-tips to swab the top of the piston, as much as possible.
Install the spark-plug and crank, it will smoke for amount 7-10 minutes
